Bows 20% damage reduction last patch

In general, bow does need a little more love since devs favor the more popular or meta weapons. The bow damage still hits hard, maybe not as hard as it use to, but the dramatic changes it needs is its fire rate. The fire rate for bow is hella slow bro. Any mage can get 2 light attack autos off first than any bow users. Jump cancel was huge because it could match that fire rate. What bow needs is a desperate rework in terms of fire rate, consistent damage (because I be pen shotting people for only 1900-2000 with 400 dex sometimes(yes i know its a scaling thing for distance, but happens often from far or near a person)) and how fast arrows travel.

I think devs don’t play on bow :wink: and they want force us become melee , imagine full melee pvp

its similar to the musket.

musket is super slow as well

(not that that is a bad thing…actually it is but thats a different balance issue)

It was a damage nerf period. It does not matter if the staff is simply incompetent that lack basic pattern recognition skills. For about half a year the staff has made balanced changes around what they assumed was working as intended.

fr it be like that. every dev update they always talkin about how they like to swing their hammer and shit. not one video shows them using bow especially during that dynasty mutation.

I’d like to see any bowman 1v1 a mage or a melee with the same skill and win.

Wont happen. Bow is in a horrible pvp state.

That 20% nerf was completely unnecessary. Us bow users who specced into the concussion ultimate were operating under the assumption that the damage output was normal, which it was.

I am amazed you are still fighting the good fight for bow users, pidgey. I gave up and haven’t bothered playing at all since. I’ll be gobsmacked if they revert the changes and / or buff up bow once again. The two lead devs on weapon and combat balance are utterly clueless, and worse yet, completely tune out ANY feedback. Unreal they are still employed in their positions.

The bow was previously balanced with the “bug” damage included. Fixing the bug necessitates a revisit to the balance of the bow damage obviously.

80% use WH/GA, so they need to cater to the majority. Its not about balance, its abount keeping the majority happy.

The 20% dmg still exists.

Honestly what’s sus to me is how so many people didn’t notice their body shot damage go up as soon as they unlocked that perk. I think that a lot of people knew.

i’m really sour that with the current state of the bow there are still people opposing to buffs / aknowledging that there is a severe issue with this class.

But I’ll swallow it, and say, the concussion perk is (used to be, before the perk nerf / fix) exclusive on bow, the other tree’s ultimate is absolutely useless, so NOBODY ever took it, therefore people had no knowledge of the perk being broken, because everybody in their sane mind always had it selected.

Well at least that’s what i think happened.

I don’t think that I said I was opposed to buffing the bow, although I do know a handful of bow users who(do complain a lot about the bow) do extremely well in all content regardless of how “bad” the weapon is.

As for the rest, there was a time before you had enough points to select it. It would’ve been noticable. Just as the loss of the extra damage is apparently noticable
