bows and guns break these games
you have a medieval saga with bows and guns that shoot unerringly straight and do high damage
sniping should not be a breaking aspect and it is
if you know the psychology of war,
ranged musket made melee obsolete
likewise yu obsolete melee with how these weapons are implemented
Slightly inaccurate. Melee has never been obsoleted. It just went from the only option to one of many options.
You may remember the bayonet, a rifle with a blade on the end for close-quarters work in trenches of WWI. Even modern soldiers carry knives for situations where guns are not available or suitable. Ask yourself, why do people bother learning martial arts or self-defence if they can just carry a gun?
Also, in the spanish colonisation of America (1492 onwards) on which I’m guessing this game is based, they did have firearms, specifically the harquebus (a kind of musket) and crossbows but both were awkward and slow to load. So, yes, the accuracy of these weapons in game is unrealistic (because it’s a game and realism takes second place to fun) but you’re wrong about melee becoming obsolete.
In the end, it’s just a game. What breaks the game for a player is entirely subjective. I may be wrong, but it feels like you have some personal grudge against these weapons (maybe you were beaten by somebody using them) and you’re trying to disguise that as some kind of issue for the entire playerbase, which is disingenuous.
Don’t be afraid to say that you personally don’t like these weapons. You can voice your own opinion without implying that there’s only 10,000 players left because of bows and guns. Be honest.
