Yea, my server is mostly medium or heavy SnS, GSs, bows, and life staves.
The main reason why player are using musket/bow/hatchet or rapier it’s because they can be carry by the dead brain mechanic of the weapon like;
Musket = Massive dmg output because of all the passive/attuement and perks + infinity range + can’t do nothing against it unless you play it yourself + perma haste
Bow = same shit as musket lol
Hatchet Berserk skill (defy death/uniterruptible berserk) = can’t be stagger/cc + haste + can’t die for 3 sec that allow people to just run away
Rapier = AOE stun (riposte) + insta cast + insta evade because of fleche no cast animation
I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting some but I think you get my point.
I don’t see many muskets in arenas. Most of them use the rapier, but most bows use either the spear or Greatsword.
Dude only one brain dead mechanic in this game and it is melee combat. Lunging to enemy from 3-3,5 meters, auto aim and slow from every melee attack.

FYI: we’re not in 2021… riposte reach got changed to reasonable angle + every guy who uses a little amount of braincells just procs riposte and block or dodge

yeap that brain dead mechanic if you compared it to firestaffburn out at less it have animation + that weapon is not a hammer dude so its should not stun aoe
melee combat is fine sure it can be improve but my point is that nobody should die from musket/bow who can snipe from accross the map at less put more cover like house/wall in all game mode to counter it
