Can you highlight where Melee gain more protections than other weapons, must of missed that one. Cheers.
Maybe eat your own ego and stop feeling touched and read it again its not that meele is somehow tankier but on top of that heavy armor is Just too much rewarding for meele cause u re doing 4x times more dmg with left click than lets say current mage with heavy attack and thats Just dmg ,rest is mentioned above.
Wow, heavy armour and x4 more damage than a mage?!
Damn bro I bet its real fun living in your head huh? Some craziness going on up there!
Just to let you know, if you play ranged (which I presume you do) and you’re unable to kite a heavy armoured melee player. You’re REALLLLLYYYY doing something wrong, if they’re hitting you for x4 the damage a mage hits you, then again, you’re doing something wrong.
Instead of crying on the forums and spewing BS, why don’t you learn the game a little. Just a thought.
Delusional as always
iam doing something wrong because people can jump through ice wall Or wait maybe medium armor is the answer …oh wait…the dodge animation is shorter tha launge from AIMED auto attack from GA …ok so maybe u escape with burn out …well nope because you re stucked in animation cast which gets interrupted …well then there is gravity well which keeps u in even if you pre-icetomb which gets destroyed on one hit
iam pointing on all of this so you can Imagine what it is to being nerfed by AGs ,enjoy #noskillinvolved
Before u start telling me “git gut” iam multi gladiator in wow and played fps games for 10years on decent level so maybe its not me but its the bad game design that they re Trying to balance …maybe ??
Hahaha.
You’re playing light armour as a mage? WRONG.
Grav well is this easiest thing to dodge in the game, as long as your in dodge animation when it lands near you, you can just freely walk out of it. Well with all those years of FPS I’m surprised you struggle to hit a jumping target, considering the freeze still applies. So you struggle to hit jumping targets, you struggle to dodge a grav well that gives like a siren warning sounds when its being cast, why don’t you just ice tomb the grav well if you struggle to dodge it? You dont mention anything about the zoning capabilities of Ice Wall/Storm, do they not exist for you? Oh and again, if you struggle vs melee, why not consider trying void gauntlet?
I’ll end it on that note, I can see by your last reply you lack a few brain cells. Better get back to being a glad on WoW bud.
I agree with some of the complaints, but from a strategic point of view, not necessarily with the weapon itself.
There is definitely an issue with the invite algorithm. Until that’s fixed we’re going to keep having issues with the algo over-inviting people with “meta-builds”. It’s definitely a Musket Meta in open world pvp and Wars. I’ve been using Musket since launch and it’s definitely a ranged based meta now. That’s not necessarily a negative, like you all state in OPR. But it will change when a “influencer” finds something else “neat”.
If 50% of a team invited mains muskets, bows, etc, and the other team gets mostly GAs, GHs, Hatchets, etc. Melee will win, because it’s better? No. Because OPR’s scoring system is based off being on the point. As a Main Musket player it’s infuriating to watch the new meta builders just stand on a rock for 80% of the match. It literally does nothing, you get less points for you and your team, all your doing is getting a kill number sometimes …that’s it. There IS a time and place to pop shots from range, but that initial push is crucial, ranged pop shots should only be killing them in transition to Baron, when routing them to another outpost, or after you’ve taken mid and you’re in a controlling phase.
Musket is best in OPR as a mid-range build, you definitely can move in with your melee and 90% of the time they will ignore you because melee CC’s are more detrimental to them, but if you can run in, land some traps, maybe a grenade, run upstairs, you’ll get a lot more shots off than you think …AND help your team waaaaay more.
Good riddance. Muskets kill me allot, but if enemy team has allot of musket, they lose.
And thats the problem isn’t it, “they lose so np” - Meanwhile players are quitting left and right because for some reason they don’t find it fun sitting inside 4 walls staring off into the distance for 20 minutes.
Warhammer gets 10% fortify just by moving
10% fortify from hitting target with clear out
20% damage reduction while heavy attacking (+ grit)
10% damage reduction if 2 or more enemies are neaby
Greataxe get 20% damage reduction while heavy attacking (+ grit)
10% damage reduction while 3 enemies are nearby
This isn’t taking into consideration having enough built in damage to do actual damage even in heavy armor and their active skills toolsets including aoe CC’s on short cooldowns, healing and mobility.
Dont argue with that delusional monkey he will defend it to the point he will trust his own lies
I dont even know why are we arguing about this
like you as a player doesnt even have control over your character because you CANT react on whats happening if you are in animation Or attack queue
Just from observing duels in tournaments, not talking numbers.
A guildmate is playing ice gauntlet/firestaff, duels against heavy armor gaxe/hammer. He hits a direct hit fireball and takes maybe a maximum of 5% hp bar from the heavy armor brawler.
Same dude melts around 50% from the hp bar of a light armored opponent with the same ability. (me)
Sure, you can say kite him around for literally 2-3 minutes, dodge and i-frame every attack. Hit every single ability you have etc. Meanwhile the gaxe/hammer player can miss half his abilities, never block, only dodge to close distance and still comes out on top.
Do you know what balancing means? The amount of effort both players have to put in is not even close to being balanced.
Even if it was supposed to be a hard counter, its just overtuned. Gaxe abilities come off cooldown before a mage/dex player can kill the dude in heavy armor.
Bow is ok, because it requires actual skill to use, FS/IG are ok, now that they’ve been “balanced”, they could probably actually use a minor buff. VG needs a giant ass nerf. Musket needs to be nerfed into the ground. It’s stupidly OP and absolute BS in every thing. I’ve seen good musket players wipe out 5/6 people in a matter of seconds, from a mile away.
Just wait until you play it and realize that not every shot is going to get you a 9k crit. Can’t wait for the “bows need a buff” thread.
High risk, high reward.
That’s bs, because players will quit for anything and will never just quit because someone has a musket in op r. Rage quit maybe.
Well I’m glad your basing your balancing opinion off watching a guy playing a mage build (in light armour) who’s in your guild.
Of course who knows how well your friend is geared compared to the guy hes dueling…
For one, you should tell your guild mate to use medium armour instead of light.
Tell him to also try void gauntlet/ice gauntlet when hes dueling a melee. What are his stat distributions like, he should be 250 int 200 con. Hes likely light armour 300 int, which is bad.
In terms of effort, if you’re referring ‘skill’ I would argue that nothing in new world requires any real form of skill.
True but I meant it more in the sense, the servers are trash, the combat isn’t great at all and then to top it off the only real sort of small(er) scale PvP there is becomes this massive sort of stalemate where no ones really doing anything. Some of the player base literally just do OPR and if that becomes tedious they probably wont log in.
You’re real easy to troll
“Haha i was only pretending to be retarded”
Damn you got me good
