  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Castle of Steel

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: When on the quest “Bridge Into the Past” when trying to "continue to climb up Vega bridge, my character cannot make the jump from one ledge to the next, he continues to fall despite multiple attempts. I saw fellow players also fail this jump.

  • (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: I cannot progress the main story questline

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No

Same issue here. Character refuses to mantle on to this ledge

2 level hatchet can help you with that. Berserk with a perk for move speed. It took like 15 tries for me to jump over that, but it is possible.

Confirmed. This bug has caused me and my partner asinine amounts of frustration. Almost at the end, only for the usual mantling mechanic to be absent where it is needed most. The only way we got past the last two jumps was by removing all armor and timing the jumps as late as possible – and even then, it didn’t always work.

Some of the other ledges leading up to this were also nearly impassible in a similar manner – while they could still be mantled, the applicable area was finicky to find.

At one point during this, my partner got sent flying away from the bridge, too. Didn’t know Amazon included flying lessons with this game!

As of 4/14/23 the quest is working 11:20 CDT Valhalla

Not working, I have been trying for 1hr. Tried using evasive shot and other methods but then i just fall through the floor when i land.

Edit: Was also able to get it to work with Hatchet haste buff

It´s insane. I´ve removed all clothes, and then it worked.

But that whole ride was ridiculous. Came here, saw the advice. Got a hatchet, trained the hatchet, —
forgot I had the hatchet, jumped nekkid. …

im not going to level the hatchet. i will try a max of five more times and if i dont get it naked then i will uninstall the game. its absolutely laughable that a main quest has decided broken jumping mechanics is the key to progression. i simply dont have the patience.

Same issue still ongoing. Yall really really need to fix this freakin issue!!! In the survey I stated that yall ignoring problems like this is going to run off players who will spread the word…

Same issue…clearly this game doesn’t have much of a dev team behind it. Kinda sad. I took off all my clothes and it worked after a while. I would highly recommend you spend the limited resources you guys have to fixing this issue since it’s a main quest.

I’m having the exact same problem. I was actually enjoying having a jumping puzzle at first and then that same ledge is just plain broken for me.

Edit: No armor and the Berserk skill works perfectly
