Just to point out some of the problems with new Brimstone sands area that really show how poorly the area has been implemented with older content.
Obsidian Gypsum (3 per day: Drops from level 60+ named creatures) - Still no named boss creatures drop them at BS area. How can something this simple be missed by the dev team. On the side not, why is Topaz potion still a thing? Just remove the potion and let as get 10/10 topaz gypsum from mobs each day without the potion.
Town missions to kill basic monsters don’t count toward mission. i.e kill 10 turkeys, yet basic bird mobs at BS don’t count toward the mission. Same problem is with many other areas i.e alligators and linx mobs in different areas don’t count toward kill missions.
Several areas have mob respawn timers messed up. At some areas mobs respawn in few seconds, on other areas mobs take 5+ minutes to respawn (not counting boss monster respawn timers).
Old named items are not shown as named. New feature is nice but its a huge miss not to include old named items, disappointing and feels half done.
Necropolis of Sutekh is not repeatable. A lot of people were hyped about new solo dungeon/boss that was shown in PTR yet it’s not repeatable.
Missing indicator for day/night time cycle. As some bosses and mobs are only spawning at night/day its really annoying. At least have pop up indicator for respawn time when player enters the boss area.
Most people are happy for getting an new area but simple things like these really grind my gears. AGS really needs to improve the Quality Assurance testing. It’s embarrassing that crafting bugs and simple loot table problems get re introduced each new patch and take weeks to fix after launch. Having people craft new bags and tools for thousands of saved resources on launch day and just to find out that they cant roll legendary is a huge insult by AGS. Also disabled legendary crafts of several items that you can’t craft even when you have all the requirements.
AGS need to up their game on patch quality and reported bug fixes.
That’s a good thing, don’t want to fight that guy everyday to get my chest. Either make him hard atleast or keep it like it is, it’s just a waste of time if you had to kill hin everytime you go in
Just teleporting to there each day for 1 chest is a waste of content. Chest itself could be moved in front of the teleporter and dungeon should be still open for solo players who want to kill it.
Town quests of kill “alligators, turkeys, bunnies, bears, boars, wolves” are not bound to one specific area. They are bound to creature type. Problem is that some of those creatures don’t count towards these missions. I.e coyotes at BS still count toward kill wolves town missions taken from any town.
The chest is not the point of original post. Chest is there and I don’t mind people getting it. My complaint was about the dungeon itself not being dungeon.
Biggest L, it’s like they completely ignored the feedback. Fun fact: the solo PVE arena cache reward had multiple named drops in the PTR.
I was 100% sure it was a repeatable arena so solo players have something to do.
Also makes no sense a unique boss, solid tactics, nice location and have it be done after 1 time.
1.Game breaking bug right there …especially as you get gypsum thrown at you by every quest mob in BS.
2. Be sure to check name of monster you think it isn’t counting …you will have Epiphany .

Its not about gypsums from quests, After 2 days all the quests are done anyways at BS, including side quests. Its about QoL, Obsidian gypsum should drop from 60+ named creatures yet they are not dropping any.
Its not even about names. Its about creature type. As stated already above, i.e coyotes count toward kill wolves quest. Its nothing do to with names itself.
Challenging is good, I have nothing against that. What I have problem with is areas that you need to afk for 5+ minutes waiting for regular mob respawn and area right next to it has mobs respawning every 10 seconds, while mobs are same difficulty level. Its not a challenge its inconsistency in source code.
Should of been done with BS update.
What is abusing about solo player playing/grinding solo dungeon. Abuse should be fixed by giving it i.e 1hour cooldown/raising the difficulty/rebalancing the loot.
Its not about if player can see day/night time, its about how long does the player need to wait till dawn/dusk or has the boss/mob been killed for this day/night cycle.
You seem to miss the point, its not about getting gypsum from quests. Its about getting your daily gypsum from named monster kills. Its not working in BS area.
Ok, lets make it easier for you. Would you like if dungeon daily gypsum would only be available from Starstone Barrows only? No, you would not like that, you would like to get your daily gypsum from ANY dungeon.
It’s not pointless in my opinion at all. These things need to be consistent. It’s not okay for things to be inconsistent, there is an inherent expectation for things to be fairly uniform to make decisions. IE i look at my skills or perks and have expectations, or the game tells me gypsum drops from X, i have expectations.
When things don’t work like they say they are, i’m going to have feedback too. Grand scheme or not, these things need to be corrected, regardless of how far the list down they may be. And this is the place to put it, in the feedback section.
I’m sure they will eventually get around to it, though.
