War is fun, but there need to be more faction-driven events ingame. With Brimstone Sands coming out, I think open world faction objectives should certainly be put into place. If a faction controls specific zones or areas in the sands, they should get a global buff or advantage in some way. To do this, a campaign mode should be introduced. This will be an all-out open world conflict between all factions in New World. It would occur in the Brimstone Sands section.
I believe guild incentive should be given here as well. Open World allows for guilds to run with their full player base to compete for extremely rare resources. There should be a monthly leaderboard to determine which players in each individual faction have contributed the most, and which faction has the highest amounts of points in total. Objectives could be securing areas, building stuff with crafting skills, and/or straight-up PvP. Overall, at the end of the campaign, the victor should recieve some sort of rare crafting/weapons cache/or extreme gold income. Best preforming players will get the most rewards. The campaign cycle then repeats itself.
Does this sound like something fun?
- It promotes guild incentive
- Faction incentive
- A reason to play endgame PvP and something to do in non-war time
- Incorporates PvE into PvP like the game originally intended
