Britta Server IT

Server is still experiencing heavy queue times. Every night i’ve tried to play i have from 3k to 1k before me… and queue wait time is on average 2-4 hours, even today after what 8 days from release, the same issues. This is the 2nd server i played on moving out of the only IT server on release… and still horrible experience, my play time is spent in queue.

Hello @Neijek ,

Thanks a lot for the report. Im sorry for any issues you got. We are aware for some issues after server reboot or maintenance. Please check the server status at Server Status | New World. If for any chance you still have issues, please. Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files in order to Verify Integrity of Game Files. Then wait for 15 minutes and try to go back to the game.

Thank you so much for your patience and helping us during launch.

@Standor Hello  it’s nice to see a GM sending a reply, don’t worry nothing is wrong on my end … and the game is running great…

THE ISSUE: is that my server (this is the second i i rolled on since the first IT server was full on day one and so i rerolled) is experiencing heavy queues even tonight, what 9 days after release i’m still in a queue before i can play and having very limited time to play passing hours in a queue is so frustrating… i hope the next patch will resolve this issue once and for all.

You are welcome @Neijek

Our Dev is aware of this, and they are working really hard in order to fix any issue as soon as possible, in the meantime, we thank you so much for your patience.

Please see this message from our Dev team:

It’s been an incredible week of growth for the New World community. The demand we’ve seen has been staggering and we continue to be humbled by the number of players that want to explore Aeternum together. While it was certainly our aspiration to welcome massive numbers of players into the game during launch week, we were frankly surprised by just how many adventurers washed up on Aeternum’s shores. Over a million players entered New World on launch day. Each day after launch that number has increased, translating into long queue times for some of our more popular worlds.

Since our launch on Tuesday, we have more than doubled the number of servers and we are working to increase the capacity of all available servers to support a higher population cap. Our team has been working around the clock to add as many servers as we can and will continue to do so until we stabilize wait times.

While we do that work, there are options to get into the game more quickly. If you are a player logging in for the first time, forty percent of our live servers have low or no wait times. We encourage you to seek those servers out and get playing. We are also working hard on a feature that will allow you to transfer your characters to a different server, so if you choose one now just to get up and playing, you can make a different choice later to play on a server with your friends. Our goal is to release this feature next week, once we’ve thoroughly tested and are sure it’s ready. Prior to its release, we will provide detailed information on how the transfer process works. We know how important it is to be able to play with friends, so we’re putting this feature at the top of our priority list.

Thank you for your support. We can’t wait to see you in Aeternum.
