Its no bug. Its just the life mote and they always dropped that amount 
Nope it was giving level 5 arcana item
They used to drop life quitessence (T5). Having life motes change everything since you can cheese arcana by upgrading to green, blue, then quintessences.
i dunno if you guys killed these mobs on PTR but it was there too…

Been that way since forever chief. Soul motes drop from deer poop, and earth drops from the cool angry earth bears. Not a bug, issa feature.

it used to drop Life Quintessence. now it drops what it think it takes to make the Life Quintessences more or less
Wondered what was going on when my invetory was full of motes after only killing about 10 elemental bears
Stuff like this is always fair game. I farmed 1million +rawhide in the first 2 weeks before they turned off instant respawning bears. I mean, maybe not always but shit, not your fault they don’t know how busted that is.
they obviously wanted to nerf the quint, and changed it to mote. But forgot to lower the numbers of mote dropped. I get 140+ earth mote from the bears in weaver fen now with gathering bonus. Before I get 1-2 quint. Mote is more valuable than the quint imo. It can do more stuff.

Aw, please nerf this into the ground so that gathering motes can be a slog again. That would be a dream come true.

Yes, I noticed that too. I bet they disabled it so they can fix it. Thank god I’ve stacked a few thousands blue, greens, and regular motes while I could.

Went there to try to put a small dent into Engineering by farming some Wyrdwood just now, since most other sources of it just gets destroyed by corruption gates spawning on top of them, and found I can’t even skin them. Great…
