Grit just makes the game boring and it’s not fair to all classes that one can just never be staggered.
Yeah, fire staff is pretty strong atm with Incinerate. Unsurenif you are using that or just burn out.
Burnout, Fireball, and Pillar of Fire.
its a necessary evil in this game
because there is no way to truly counter healing besides death.
and by counter im talking about disease and by disease i mean how crappy the current iterations of it are.
that and the lack of silences
i hope daggers get a silence swing, invisibility and a very strong reposition of some sort.
really hoping one tree will be MASSIVE damage that bypasses armor types. while the other tree be a monster debuff tree.
Oh man…don’t even get me started. You need like 3 different sources of disease just to kind of counter a light healers heals. So crazy. Literally Rends are more anti-heal than the actual anti-heal.

id like it so the 300 dex gives dodges true i frames while non dex users could get half damage.
As long as Greataxe and especially Gravity Well stays the way it is, New World will always have the same stale Metagame that slowly but surely led to the massive loss of interest from PvP players.

id take almost anything over whats going on now.
id much rather everything be slightly smaller in scale. slower and more chunky with thoughtful actions and counters over dodge and ability spam.
blocking is never even part of the conversation outside of 2 niche scenarios thats going to be gone in a second too.

Its tough. With ranged players and casters melee has tocbe somewhat wvasive to close the gap whole. Its just hard to balance. Imo they shouldnt even try to perfectly balance. Just make all weapons feel fluid and fun and have a niche and no weapon best at everything. Theres plenty of modes

My favorite class type in most muds/mmos has always been stealth based with a huge initial attack coming out from hiding. Assassins/stealth are great classes for those with a lone wolf, anti-zerg mentality. I generally find that these type of classes, similar to NW assassins, are the most tactical to play. You need good positioning and surprise in order to be successful. They are also among the easiest classes to counter as long as one maintains situational awareness. Yet in spite of that they almost always tend to get the most calls for nerf. I think it’s because the majority of people are addicted to the zerg and hate to get picked off at the edge….
