By nerfing bruiser, ags has reduced the viability of group, synergistic based gameplay. Bruisers did not fight alone, and required healers and vg working together to accomplish wipes and point captures.
The changes have made this not very functional, and are also reducing vg useage as a result and driving most players to solo based gameplay like firestaves and bows.
New world is an mmo and we should be encouraging group,synergistic gameplay like bruiser/vg/healer, rathe than counter strike, first person shooter type gameplay…
This change is bad for new world, not good, no matter what bow and firestaff users say.
A better trend would be to make a ranged synergistic grouping. Reduce damage of bows and firestaves, but make it so if someone has burning… a bb does more damage… or maybe have a bow ability that dumps tar or oil on targets that a firestaff ignites.
no clue what you are talking about melee still shreeds trough people. Melees should stay on point and fight there not chase arround bows outside of it thats not the point of playing melee.
correct me if i am wrong but is the point to stand into the base to get it and then hold it ? like i said above melee is not supposed to chase ranged players arround there a couple weapon that can maybe do it but main point is to captcher and hold base.
btw dmg did go down for all weapons but 1 or 2 profit more from the changes to armor
No. I said bruiser needs are bad and that is what I was discussing. I don’t know how the changes affected schitzos. They seem easier to deal with now as a bruiser
I don’t chase bows. But standing in the fort like a doofus while my bows and fkanestaves shoot out and their bows and flamestaves shoot in for 3 minutes is not engaging gameplay.
I have a clip of me actually just standing on top of the wall. Just watching the bows and FS shooting each other. So focused on each other that I could just stand there for like a minute and a half and not take any damage. The people that do that are actual bots.
