It’s probably too early to tell unless you fought a company with like 20 range players already.

It is too early to tell for sure but the way the game mode is set up it’s about controlling space and capturing points, and Bruisers are the best at doing exactly that.

They definitely were the best at doing that, problem was they did that and had too much DPS to go along with the utility. No one class should have ever been allowed to do what they did. Wars shouldn’t have to be fought only one way and they have been fought the same way since 300 STR = Grit on Basics.

With the way respawn staggers work, a ranged team could potentially now support a heavy point team and clear defenders or attackers off a point enough times that would allow for mid range players to step on and assist. War can be fought similarly now but with other classes being just as prevalent as bruisers.

Current frustrations seems to come from folks who have mainly played OPRs as if that hasn’t been busted for some time. Just a different weapon now other than musket.

AGS seems to be unable to make small tuning adjustments and monitor. The universe knows we’d be at a better balance with a little more conservative approach. I’ve played lots of MMOs and this game has struggled with PVP balance quite a bit compared to others. Sometimes that’s bugs due to their engine and inability to patch without breaking things, but more often than not a developer team that seems to be fairly out of touch with combat in the actual game.

Just my thoughts. We will still be running bruisers. Just not quite as many.

And the community struggles with balancing certain weapons like a musket for ruining OPR when in reality it was never as absurd a weapon as they claimed it was, it was just the purpose of OPR that was completely wrong. And the biggest proof of this is that in wars, bruisers continue to dominate even with an absurd nerf on their backs simply because the objective of war is to dominate points and not kill other players.

These devs are intellectually weak

Yes exactly. People expect to play OPR the same as wars because there are point controls in OPR as well. The thing is that players in OPR dont really care overall about the point control where as point control is an absolute necessity in wars. On top of that, scoring in OPR was based on damage making point control even less of a necessity for scoring. It only mattered for winning. OPR is taken too seriously by some people and they expect the same exact content as wars.

It should be if a team does not have a frontline then they should get recked.

How anyone would expect to do the same damage from 20m+ away is astounding. Devs just have no clue.

There’s nothing wrong with that though. They’re the backbone that captures points. There are still plenty of classes in wars to support that.

You just got your self nerfed, the forums can’t tolerate melee being usable. Gg

I have seen some monsters in opr and open world as well, just need people to put the fs staff down and play with the new balances

I mean as long as an army needs a frontline bruisers will always be relevant.

Either as damage or as meatshields.

Honestly, where was the bruiser nerf? The numbers changed, that’s all to fit correctly with the other changes.

All I’m seeing this patch is myself doing twice the damage I was doing before in OPR and my combos feel a lot more useful than last patch. Even fighting inside enemy sacred, we can finally burst people down to 0 without them tanking everything in one.

I think the only nerf Bruisers really received was Fire Staff being buffed and bows being kept in the same position.

Did you even read the patch notes…you arent doing doublw tge damage as a bruiser this patch in total mode output for opr or war on avg unless you were underperforming before. Apples to apples I dont buy that.

do more damage to you because bruiser opponents take more damage. That doesn’t mean bruisers are good in the meta. the time to kill being lower, the net advantage is there for very offensive builds that can easily kill to survive.

Yet 90% of people still dnt wanna play bruiser.

Everyone wants to be big D light user.
