well what im trying to say every melee weapon has issues with hitting anyone that isnt fighting back and this should be addressed across the board

Well heavy lunge was never even changed for GAXE so what the hell are you whining about?
sword might actualy have the best lunging atm aside from void gauntlet

They nerfed the distance the lunge goes and made it super short. The problem is the game is so laggy its now impossible to catch people. Check this for reference. Tbh, I wouldn’t mind the nerf - but only if the game was working as intended.
Except they didn’t change the heavy attack lol.
Two things: One, heavy attack lunge was not touched as far as I can tell and two; if ANY weapon should have a high lunge be it heavy or light, it should be Spears not Axes.

What do you mean, why? As why spear lunge instead of axes? That’s literally what the function of spears/pikes should be, single target thrusts with long reach. Great Axe is a cleaving weapon, that should be it’s thing. Less range then a spear but you get wide arcs for multi target instead. Folks are far too used to having their cake and eating it too, balance be damned.
Lunge range should be Spear>Great Axe>War Hammer in distance. As Far reach, med reach and short reach.
If anything it needs to be nerfed even more but not as much as the Hammer does.
alright i now understand your spear comment but the way GA is set up in the game is that it is meant to chase people and it not being able to do that is a problem in my opinion.
