Bug - Dye used when preview on Shield

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: i was trying out some dyes in the preview window, and after clicking Cancel, it actually committed the change on my Shield (only the shield commited, other armor cancelled as expected). This consumed 1 of my dye, and applied it to my Shield.
    I searched the forum and found this is actually a known bug that is being worked on. But as of right now I am pretty upset because it consumed one of my White Dye, which are very rare and only can be purchased from Store. So this Bug actually cost me real $ worth of in-game Currency (Marks of Fortune).

I want it to be very clear that I did not press ā€œConfirmā€. I pressed ā€œCancelā€.

And on any other armor/weapon as normal this cancels and no Dye is consumed. But apparently for the Shield, it is a bug and actually commits the Chance and consumes the Dye and results in the change on the Shield.

I’ve moved this over to the support section so they can check if you can get your dye back.

Additional context: I purchased 3x (5 pack) of the White Die.
Used 4 normally, many weeks ago.
Had 11 as of this morning.
After the mentioned bug with shield, you see the screenshot now shows I have 10. It consumed 1 dye.

I am sorry to hear you seem to have lost some of your dye without confirming its use. Thank you for pointing out you did not confirm this as, in general, there is no going back if you do.

This scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be better if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.

Please, do not hesitate reaching out to live support to have this looked into.

I’ve waited for over a week since contacting Support as requested. Still haven’t heard back.

Since this is a known issue/bug on your list, I don’t see why it’s taking this long to return the missing dye to my account.

It’s not like the issue needs to be investigated or reperformed right?

Thank you for following the correct procedure and contacting support on this as well as keeping us posted. Please note you can reply back to the Emails you receive from support in order to ask for updates and, in general, they should be in contact with you as soon as an update becomes available.

Hopefully now that you have reported this, it should be only a matter of time to get an update.

I never received an email confirmation after the first support ticket.

I just created a new ticket today (9/15/22) for the same issue.
