Same issue.

Character: Crucise
Server: Olympus

installed latest drives… using Radeon RX 570 - so older Vcard but this is a new issue as of this latest patch this morning.

Hello, you two, this happens in two different cases as I am aware of:

  • You own two monitors and you’re changing the resolution after dragging the game from one monitor to another in window mode
  • You change to window mode after changing a resolution, move the window and try to full-screen it.

This “bug” rather happens because the game doesn’t recognize its current resolution and is stuck between the two, and forgets to remove the border.

There’s an easy fix to this, however, and you have to pay attention to your default resolution.

If this bug happens simply do this:

  • Select Window Mode → Choose an inferior resolution than your default resolution. (for example if your main resolution is 1920x1080, choose 1280x720) → Choose Full-Screen → Confirm Changes, then change the resolution again to your desired resolution.

Did you do the steps I told you?

Choose a different resolution, put it to window mode, then swap to another resolution again (not your main resolution), AND THEN proceed choose full-screen.
And when you see your bug is removed, finally choose your desired resolution.

Sigh, well.

Close your game completely, on your steam right click on the game.

Below you’ll see an empty field addressed as “launch options” in properties (right click New World and navigate to properties)

copy paste this code into the address:

-resolution 1280x720 -windowed

Try to proceed with trying to change resolutions then, if that doesn’t work, then we’ll try to force it to use a resolution you want from steam.

I have the exact same issue. I usually play on 2560x1440p.
I have re-installed monitor drivers, graphic drivers and the game itself. Issue still persists.

Edit: Have only come across this issue since the winter patch.

Same issue here. one 4k monitor, can’t get it out of 1920x1080 since winter patch.
