@Aenwyn After a restart of my game it seems to not be happening anymore.
Additional context: As I logged into the game for the first time, I was in my house and it was as if I was holding a staff but there was no staff in my hand. Then upon equipping the fire staff what happened in the video happened. It seems the game thought I had a staff in my hand but there wasnt so it caused some complete miscommunication maybe between the game and what was actually happening im guessing. I dont know how to replicate having my character hold a staff without there actually being a staff there, but with my character standing normally and after the restart, everything works as intended now.
Here is the initial moment when I found out about this. Character standing as if he’s holding a staff, no staff, then upon equipping and attacking/using abilities, my character goes invisible.

@Aenwyn I have another update on this!
I was able to replicate my character holding a staff pose without him actually holding a staff.
Go to Store > Select any one of the Staff Skins under “Weapon Skins” (In my case, I chose the Royal Court Bundle and tried the fire staff skin there) > Click on the icon to show/unshow the staff - And done! exit out of the store menu and the character will be in a pose as if he’s holding a staff. Also, while you hold a gauntlet (Ice Gauntlet or Void Gauntlet), go to the skins section, I selected the “Starbound” skin, click and unclick the chest armor icon a few times, and you will also lose your right arm while holding the gauntlet until you swap weapons 
Have not been able to replicate going invisible again, but did replicate holding the staff pose and now a new losing your arm bug.
