Yeah no luck. Whatever this is it’s something on the server end that changed after the update. I have run several network diagnostic tools and there is no problems along the path the packets are taking. Really hope they fix it soon because fishing is literally imposible rn since most of the time since it kicks me out of the reeling portion before I get it in most of the time.
It seems it effects everyone somehow different. For example I can fish. Is the only action that is not interrupted by this bug. But except fishing and light attacks I can’t do much else. Is unplayable.
Still having this problem with the Trading Post opening twice and saying items are at another trading post on November 1st.
Whatever was done with the disabling of the Trading Post last night? seems to have solved all the crafting and harvesting troubles I was having though I could not check to see if the Trading Post would say the item was at a different trading location but it did not open twice. I am curious to see if this disabling helped others that posted here because I did reset my modem last night as well and have a little wonder if maybe this too would have corrected things.
I’ve checked this morning after they completely turned off the trading post. My character still has the glitch. Still cancels all my E actions, heavy attacks, crafting station usage and so on. I will try it again later.
Seems like whatever they did with the trading post fixed the issue. Haven’t run into it since.

I am getting this error now 
I have the same issue and noticed the same thing - it seems to auto-refresh or open again after a short delay. I’ve found if I purchase the item before the refresh happens, I can get it. However, if I’m unable to sort and purchase it until after the refresh I’ll get the message “item at a different trading post” even though it is definitely there.

Same problem here. The trading post looks like it resets itself by turning to it’s opening page. Once this happens I start to get the bug. If I get in and out of my house it seems to get fixed for a moment but then bug comes back.
I am also experiencing this problem. makes the game very difficult to enjoy playing. Are you also having troubles crafting or harvesting? very surprised this still hasn’t been fixed.

It makes the game almost unplayable. I posted a thread about the entire issue as well but it seems since not many people are experiencing this problem it goes unnoticed. Issues with the “E” Button
10 days with no fix? Ughh the game is unplayable after that patch, incredibly frustrating. I want to play but debating returning as it’s just a waste of 40$ at this point…

Just happened to me. Thought this was fixed. I ported to my house in windward, did some crafting, went to the TP to get some mats - Items were marked as in windward - Got "Item at a different trading post.
Update: Relog fixed it.
Just to add my 2 cents, this goes back to and is caused by the ongoing server latency issues numerous people have been suffering. (server to client / downlink is stable, client to server is sporadically, and sometimes for hours at a time, even on low pop servers, has a 2k+ ms ping/response. hence everytime you try to open trade post, or crafting window, client opens it immediately but the server only registers the opening 2 to 5 seconds later, and when it does, forces a reopen (of tradepost or crafting window - u can actually hear the sound - twice)
The only workaround is to try buy or list ur items before the 2nd sounds / reopen happens, same with crafting. I have gone to immense lengths to rule out issues on my end, locally, at my ISP. If there was a local or ISP issue, then the downlink latency would be affected as well, but its not, its only the uplink ie: game clients sending data to NW servers, and that sending taking anything from 2seconds to 4 seconds depending on severity at the time
forgot to mention, the second opening of tradepost invalidates you, in the sense that u can search but u cannot list or buy, (thinks you are at wrong tradehouse). So try to do what u need to do before that reopening sound happens (and ur search or whatever u doing is reset)
I too was having this issue, what seemed to fix this for me was unplugging the wireless router for minutes then plugging it back in. Since doing so I have not had this issue return. crosses fingers it does not
