[Bug Report] Bugged house purchase in Windsward

  • What is your character name in New World: Frosteh
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Hellheim (EU Central)
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: You cannot buy the small, one room house, located in Windsward settlement. It’s positioned in the center of town right next to the town hall, at the top of the steps. The non-discounted price is listed as 5,000g (this would be my second house). The house overlay lists it as 5,000g I have more than 5,000g in my inventory and I have sufficient town standing to own a home. The purchase says it has completed once you click purchase but the gold is not removed from my inventory, nor do I own the home, the prompt to interact with the property doesn’t change to indicate ownership.
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Cheap houses are crucial to game play because we need to be able to stack trophy bonuses without getting dragged down by insane house tax.
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: n/a
  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced: n/a
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I have sufficient standing in Windsward to own a home there and sufficient gold to purchase at the listed price, no special steps are necessary just attempt to buy the house and it fails. Restarting the game and validating the steam files doesn’t help.

Also it’s worth noting that in the house purchase interface, at the very top right it lists 10,000g and I’m not sure what this value represents. I thought it might be the “real” value of the house and that 5,000 listed on the purchase button was simply wrong, and that’s why It was failing. However I checked this same screen for multiple houses around Windsward, for the 15,000 and 20,000 variants, and these all list 10,000g at the top right of the house purchase screen as well. So this is probably a second, unrelated bug although has no impact on gameplay as far as I can tell.

For anyone after a cheap 5k house in Windsward the house next to it at the top of a set of stone steps is 5k and comes with a balcony, I’ve just been able to purchase it.
