I noticed that equiping a shield did not contribute to the total gear score. Nor does it add the protective values for elemental and physical damage. It is easy to reproduce. Just TAB to open inventory and equip/unequip the shield and look at the character values at the bottom of the screen. Yes this is with a sword equiped.
We also tested this in our company and it is an issue. Every other weapon set keeps stats of both equipped weapons, except running sword and shield. It causes you to lose stats.
Confirmed Bug, reproduced as of latest version 1.0.1. (Version 232). Pressing K to attributes does show the bonus.
