[BUG] Weapon Damage BUG? Or Display Error?

Same weapon being compared via mouse-over-hover in inventory - and character attribute screen.
This 564 rapier also shows up as being higher damage than the 580 epic rapier (from epic weapon quest).
Is it just a display bug? Or an actual bug with one of the item rolls? Or…?

The lower GS rapier has more dex. This results in higher scaling of the damage done. When comparing weapons the base damage is listed a bit further down (separated into the two types). The number at the top is the calculated damage after attributes (should be same as it listed on attribute page).

Sorry but I also have the GS580 epic rapier from the quest - and it has full 28 dex I believe - and still does lower damage than this same GS564 rapier…

Your reply doesnt make sense in this context unfortunately.
With every other weapons I’ve got in the game, it does - and it works correctly.
It just doesnt with this single rapier (the 564). It has higher damage than 2 higher GS weapons - one with more INT (I am INT based) and one with more DEX - and all 3 have the same gem in them, I wanted to make sure it wasnt the gem scaling…
This appears to be a singular bugged rolled weapon that gives higher damage than higher GS weapons - as the screenshot shows.

The tooltips are reporting “accurately” here. You have likely just misunderstood parts of how scaling works. The 579 and Frozen Lament are outperformed by the 564, but for opposite reasons.

The 564 outperforms the 579 as the additional dex scales the Thrust damage better than the int (at your current values) while the additional int doesn’t increase the arcane by a similar amount (due to diminishing returns).

The 564 outperforms the 580 as Frozen Lament has 13.5% less arcane damage than the 564 (40% of 175 vs 50% of 162). While the increased dex does GREATLY increase your thrust damage in this comparison it is not enough to make up for the loss incurred by not having as much Arcane to scale with your massive int.

This is not bug.
