The game seems to be being built around time gates and cashshop first.
I can’t stop thinking that the cash shop has been designed and then the systems have been added after.
Every system I can see, will have cash shop items in the future to make things a little quicker, I’m sure of it.
The problem with this is that they’ll be no players left to purchase items and no new players due to the sheer grind, and lower levels leaving before they get max level, due to lack of lower level people to do content with.
This design principle is all wrong. The game seems so unaccessible.
Imo AGS, you’re working the wrong way around.
Design fun systems and content to keep players playing and then add fun items that people want to purchase.
Maybe I’m wrong with the cash shop stuff, and if am, then the focus should still be the same anyway.
Every system is so long and non player friendly, like the travel, the time gating to access content, storage space that people run out of etc, that it seems they aren’t designing the game based on what they think will be fun for players first. It seems they have an idea of items they want to sell in the cash shop in the future to make life easier, and then building the systems after.
