We are all aware that taxes are split after the take. The basis is still the same though. The controller of the terri gains taxes from the trading post. Youve repeated this post a number of times now we get it
OP mad because they pay taxes. And people that have the BIS gear taking hours to spam trade chat and sell their wares dont pay taxes because they do it by hand.
Not only would it be implausible to implement a trading tax on hand-to-hand interactions. It would just be ridiculous.
You pay taxes because you use the ingame system to place your wares into the marketplace. Then You forget about it until it sells… or doesnt.
Op’s argument is just ridiculous. Nobody cares about the trade chat hand-to-hand deals. And the only time ive ever cared about taxes was when companies that were going to transfer jacked the taxes on all their territories to max and cheesed the server for a week while not doing any town upgrades
but bro think about all the territorys that are bad and need the crowdfunding to survive and do town upgrades. everything we do in this game must be taxed. there needs to be ingame w2’s and w4s so we can keep track of how people make their money and also put them into categorys and tax based on income. we must save weavers fen from downgrading to t1. think of all the hungry children #taxthegame
When you pay the tax the “rich” also get richer because the tax goes the companies controlling the territories. Of couse the seller could be part of those companies and hence their company indirectly make more, but they could also be from a company that isn’t one that can win wars and hold a territory.
Also, you could easily be the one benefiting. If you find a trophy mat that you are never going to use do you want to get as much money as you can? Or do you want to risk putting it on TP, paying “the rich” money and then have it not sell? Or do you want to find a guaranteed buyer? Likewise if you decide you want to buy something.
Similarly if you want to buy something like that do you want to get it cheaper or pay tax to the controlling companies? Note that even with the current and upcoming changes the companies that can win wars and hold territories are the most likely to be these “rich” that you want to punish.
of course there is, i’m often trading with my brother or father when we’re plaing together, i can’t imagine my bro giving me items to craft for him (i do armoring) and be like “Quick! I put on timeless shard on market pick it quick!”
Only because there is a gap/trick we have to choose either use it too or try to fix it. Ofc now more and more people are using trades to sell items.
But there are very few who are using trade method for small amounts. Maybe some of us would need 1 month or more to sell item(s) for 1 mil gold or higher, that would include a lot of orders placed and risks that some might expire and have to pay listing fee again, while on the other hand some rich guys do it with ZERO risk, ZERO taxes.
He is just a angry boy, its pointless to try resonate or explain him anything. He is stubborn and even after few of us told him about taxes pool he still dont get it ‘how’.
like this topic isn’t, taxing direct player to player trading is dumb because ppl don’t just trade to bypass taxes any system you design would impact all the ppl who trade for getting crafts made or to give consumables or any other number of reasons.
if you set a gold min ppl will sell gear using assets instead of gold.
your argument hinges entirely on you want to selling/buying through TP to be as fair as direct player trading except 1 requires you to only list the item and forget it.
The other requires you to be online and actually wait for an interested buyer to contact and interact.
interacting with players alone is a tax given how some ppl are in this community so count yourself lucky you only have to part w gold.
