still need to level armor smithing and weapon smithing. but every single mining route i go to is already mined. why do i bother
simple dont go to the ones that are popular and high reward…
genuinely thinking i should look for the lowest pop server to transfer to
If you have 2 free transfer tokens, good ideea. Move on a low pop, farm tons of resources, do all ur lvling up, then move out and sell those resources. ![]()
I have solved this by harvesting other resources → selling these → buying what I need.
should I mass harvest leather or wood then. it sucks because i have lots of stat investment into mining but it feels counter intuitive to sell iron ore if I’m trying to level those trades.
All I can say for sure is it does seem like I need to try something other then mine then craft ig
Just stop running routes like that. Rather, just play. Grab what you come across. Use that. Trying to mass harvest endgame resources will just be leading to frustration. If you change the mentality, you’ll soon find yourself sitting on thousands of ori and iron wood as well.
that has never worked for me. there are no side quests for me to do. Mains quests are borderline impossible solo because I need to be able to make gear for my level (60)
I am effectively soft locked into leveling my craft trades till I can continue the game so I kinda have to put 90% of my focus into getting these materials sooner.
for my current position there is no ‘keep playing regularly and you will be there eventually’
Gear is dirt cheap, expertise is handed out in bucketloads simply for running along in zerg chest runs. It takes no effort what-so-ever to reach 600 expertise these days. Sorry to say, but you’re just doing it wrong if you’re struggling so badly
.
You play some hardcore mode with no trade allowed or usage of drops?
You’ll pretty easily get decent 590+ gear just from drops
Not to mention gold is enough to buy decent gear since unless it’s BiS it’s rly cheap
My crafting is around lvl 30 and I’m doing fine in m10’s

im not anti-trade but im not trying to buy my gear. the only thing ive bought to help myself is an orichalcum pickaxe so i can harvest better.
Im not trying to play the gear drop aspect of this game, the whole reason I started this game on launch was because of crafting. If I wanted to go with drops id play another MMO.
It appears you both play the drop based playstyle which is entirely valid. But I’m not.
Fair enough. But do realize that the game is not really suited to be played this way very well. The amount of resources required to deck yourself out well via this way is well beyond what natural play, even without trade, but by running dungeons instead and even solo or small grouping chests, would bring.
Even worse, most required endgame resources will even be locked off from safely getting in reach to without being able to combat the mobs around.
I mean…you dont actually need those trading skills to play. You could just look for something on the market to buy, if you need any armor. Weapons you can drop from dungeons, or even those, you can buy. Its way cheaper and better.
Just imagine…get armoring and weapons smithing to 200… buy gear for those, buy trophies. Invest tons of gold and materials to craft 100 items, and from those 100, maybe 2 or 3 will be BiS.
If you are not a focused crafter, is better just to save up gold and buy the items, and lvl up those trades over time.
my entire playstyle is around being a crafter
Understandable, but you’re right. It would probably be best to find the lowest pop server you can for that, otherwise you will have a very hard time to get that far.
And maybe once you have it all you could transfer to a high pop back
