Can’t get past black new world loading screen

have you verified your install?

Did everything, verified files, reinstalled, turned off ipv6, all that and no difference. Downloading nvidia studio driver to see if that works since others said it worked for them.

I’m sorry to hear New World is freezing on the login screen!

We can try (in case you haven’t tried already) the following this steps:

  1. Run a Steam Integrity Check for New World.
  2. Delete AppData\Roaming\AGS folder
  3. Make sure your drivers are up to date.
  4. Completely exist New World and Steam, then log in and try again

In case the issue persist please contact AGS Customer Support and keep handy the following information:

  • The most recent log, but preferably provide 3 logs from: Users<username>\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups

  • DxDiag report:

    • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
    • Click on dxdiag.exe.
    • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to your desktop.

Downloading Nvidia Studio Driver rather than the Game Ready Driver is what worked. As well as for others in the forums. Glad I found them.

Also had this problem, followed these steps and the game gets stuck on the loading screen still. Every now and then it’ll work but when that happens a text pops up saying it cant verify and will act like i have never played before even though i have approx 700 hours.
Tried:

  • appdata deleting thing
  • reinstalling easy anti cheat
  • verifying integrity on steam
  • restarting computer

I see that you have tried some basic troubleshooting methods on your own, and yet it did not fix the issue for you.

So before anything else, I request you to kindly follow the below mentioned steps once:

  • Confirm that you are using the most recent GPU drivers for your Graphics Card (AMD (https://www.amd.com/en/support )) (NVIDIA (Download Drivers | NVIDIA )(Download Drivers | NVIDIA (Official Drivers | NVIDIA)).

  • Confirm that you have the most recent updates installed for Windows.

  • This will work with most issues that are not crashes.
    1- Press Windows key + R
    2- Type %appdata%
    3- Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World.
    4- Delete the Savedata folder and the user_preload_settings.cfg file.
    5- Reboot the PC and you’ll see that the files deleted would be recreated

If nothing works, please reach out to our New World Support at New World - Support | Amazon Games as they’ll create a ticket for you and forward it our devs to check.

I also request you to share this Forum post to them for their reference along with your game logs.

If asked kindly provide the latest 3 logs from: Users\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups
