Can’t get rid of an quest item, but I don’t have the quest

  The craft 2 Set of Stout Crude Iron Armor listed under mission item, but I don’t have a quest which need the Iron Armor, and it weighted 40, it occupied my storage!

Have had similar situations happen. Seems to occur only when the RNG is such that when you initially craft the item (whether armor or food or what not), the game ends up giving you one or more “bonus” items (e.g. instead of just crafting one “Stout Crude Iron Armor” with zero bonus items, the game gives you 1 or more bonus items). From your screenshot, it looks like you have 2 of that mission item for crude iron armor left over, so it looks like this may be what happened with you too: maybe it gave you two bonus items, or this happened to you at least once before.

I “think” I got around this by trying to find another town board quest for the same item. If you can find another quest for the same item, then do NOT craft it again : you should be able to simply turn in one of the “extras” that you already have (and the recipe should be removed too). But that’s not ideal to have to do that though, especially since you now have potentially a LOT of extra weight that you can’t get rid of any other way w/o doing this. Depending on the status of the board quests in your settlement, this may not be possible at all, or at least not for a long time, and/or w/o looking around at any number of settlements, to try to find the same quest.

Seems like the game should simply never give you any bonus items when you craft something from these types of recipes. Or give you the option to discard them. Although I can see arguments against either of those options…
