Can a dev explain, in detail what the difference between 600 and 625 gear score is

at 625 how much will your weapons damage increase by? how much will your attributes increase by? how much does it add to your armor? how much extra does it had to perks, etc. From what ive seen, it doesnt seem to really be making a big difference. So maybe its just bugged on the PTR. But at 612 compared to 600 their was almost no change at all.

Its the same pattern. Look at the difference between 550 and 575 and you will see. Its really only a few %, it will be negligible.

thats what im thinking, but i just wanted to know for sure if thats the case. or as you get higher up in gear score the scaling starts to taper off. I feel like it should start to scale higher so you actually can have some meaningful power increase. But if its just gunna scale as it is thats pretty buns. Even after you get a slot to 625, the gear you get from drops an chests can still only be 600 at max. So every piece of gear you get at 600 you have to level again with umbral. So say you level a bow to 625, then get a better bow at 600 you’d rather use, you have to level it again. etc etc for every piece of gear. for like no gain? that sucks

The difference allthough appearing small is actually significant the higher up you get. Since most damage modifiers are % based any increase at the top end is multiplied.

example 200% damage from a spell or skill would mean any damage increase is doubled. meaning if you hit for 200 damage with 600 gs and 220 damage with 625 the difference is actually fairly large.
