My 3-days old Character is stuck in a server with 6k~ active players (2k playing 4k queueing).
I don’t mind joining a low population server, but on Day 1 they were all with 2k playing (and 4k on queue). So I kept playing in this server, since all the other choices had also a huge queue.
Anyone can help with a transfer or something?
Extra: I managed to join last time, today at 7AM (CET) and I saw lot of low lvl players from lvl 5 to 10 joining this same server.
People that start playing early in the morning, don’t have any idea of the trap they are getting into, because at 7AM all these servers with 6k active players, have less than 1k playing. Then at peak time, these servers are a dead end.
So I can only see this getting worse tomorrow / saturday / sunday.
TLDR: People in the morning are joining a server with “MID” population. That in regular hours has “HIGH” population with 6k+ active players.
Me and my friends would love the same. We picked the most low pop server but it went haywire after the first day so it would be great if we could move them somewhere low pop to combat the queues.
Yeah I mean the 2k limit is highly questionable. But if you implement a limit like that I don’t get how they still letting people start on a server that already has more then 2k accs on it…
If i remember correctly there is no technical way to transfer your Chars at this point. In the next days there will be a patch where everyone can transfer one Char for free.
Imagine, a Fortune 500 that sells cloud computing and servers, managing to not release enough servers at launch despite knowing EXACTLY how many players bought their game in each region, and how big of a problem queues have been in beta.

Yes. I read that. But I don’t really want that opportunity in 2 weeks where I can choose where I wanna go etc.
I just want to know if it is possible to provide them my consent to be reallocated in any low pop server (NW team can pick the server) to help them with the problem they are having today in most HIGH pop servers.
I don’t really care about having an option in the future. Just want them to do this as an urgent maintenance task or something.
A new server only works for a new player (that started playing today). But as long as the servers are not capped to quantity of max characters created, the problem is going to remain.
The problem they will have these 2 weeks is that they have lot of servers on fire and they won’t get better. (because people at 6AM keep joining the servers with MID population).
The problem the users will have is that they will have to queue for 2 weeks.
In 2 weeks this is going to blow so many times. I don’t really want an option to choose, “just do it”. Pick the server, I won’t complain. In 2 weeks if somebody complains, then you can give them that “free” option.
I get why you want it, the queues suck, but we’re not going to see one-off transfers before the transfer they already mentioned comes along in a week or two.
Between now and then, unless a lot of people reroll (and at this point given the resistance to rerolling already with very modest time invested in the grand scheme of things, I doubt we will see many people deciding to reroll in the coming days), the situation is going to worsen before the relief of the transfers comes along.
This weekend is going to be a nightmare for people on servers with queues.
