so i have a watermark of 520 right now but im using 600gs items so me gearscore right now is 600 i read someone that this will reduce the effectiveness of me gear ? does anyone have any stats if thats true will i do less damg with me weaps ?
Right now it does not limit the effectiveness of your gear.
There will be a patch and from that point on you can equip whatever you want but if your expertise is lower than the GS of the item then the effectiveness will be limited to the average of GS and expertise.
Example: Your expertise for great axe is 540, you equip an axe with a GS of 560. Your effectiveness with that axe will be 550. As your expertise increases your effectiveness will increase too, so go ahead and buy GS 600 stuff if you want to, you can “grow into” it.
The following will be immune to being limited:
Anything you buy before the patch. Anything you craft for yourself. Anything you buy from a faction vendor. Anything you get as a quest reward.
