Since there is trading post exploit right now, both types are “corrupted” none of them is free from corrption, so there is no anymore difference, but that was expected 
Maybe you’ve forgotten how bad were exploits and dupes back in legacy servers??? there are players and companies that are way ahead that it makes no sense for FSS to be merged into legacy… Even AGS themselves admit that they needed “FRESH START SERVERS” for players to return to the game because old servers’ economy got f**ked big time.
exploit that is 10 hours old isn’t the same as an exploit that literally lasted for a whole month mate… the only reason old dupes were worse was because it took so long for AGS to fix them that most players already did them and they couldn’t contain the situation.
10 hour old? from where did you got that info xD it wasnt created 10 hours ago, it’s in game since release. 10 hours ago the devs become aware of it.
the exploit was found after the winter patch event and is not the same as the old dupe exploit… it’s a different one

No, the price would be refunding everyone the cost of the game and shop purchases made from the minute they posted the official statement that Fresh Start servers would never be merged with Legacy servers and you better believe there would be a solid legal foundation to force them to do so.

I mean that just is not true. There isn’t anything legally binding and there is no real legal risk here. They don’t have to go against their word, but legal risk isn’t what is keeping them.
I’m sure they have a ton in the TOS to let them do whatever they want. MMOs can shut down while people have invested plenty more money in a game. Game devs change their minds and make controversial decisions all the time. Committing to no pay to win, then selling out later. Legal risk here is nonsense.
Whether or not it’s a smart idea is another thing in terms of the studios reputation. Sure they can merge them, but for one it’s too early anyways. Why even step in and say anything now? Maybe in 6 months they can then do it, if they even do it.
Ideally they just allow server transfers to the main servers from FSS. That keeps their promise still. Lock new character creation or just provide a warning to new players as a fresh start sever is mostly intended to give a player an early leveling experience with similarly leveled players. That is no longer true after a few months and certainly after 6 months. The economies overlap more and more as time goes on. So you don’t want to misinform new players into they do the next round of FSS which they can do every 6 months after their yearly large content patch to get new players into the game. Or not. They would just need to commit to merging those.
Then the current FSS will follow their current trend which is losing players as the main servers have been mostly stable. It gives players the option of leaving and joining the main servers. Honestly that’s what I foresee happening. Already the main servers are seeing the influx of new players that FSS are not. I can’t imagine them holding out that long but I could be wrong here. But it seems they have been following the predicted trend unfortunately.
It’s sad best people on the main servers are sad because we were all excited to see an influx of Laura and them integrated into the community. Instead of read fragmented and now we have this mess.

False. The legacy servers were literally just merged THIS WEEK. Which is indisputable evidence that Legacy servers continue to bleed players.
The main reason, right now, is that AGS stated in their public posting about FSW that they would never merge FSW into Legacy, see below.
Functionally, the servers are the exact same, FSW are just lagging behind Legacy servers since Legacy has had 1+ year to mature economy/player wise, while FSW saw a huge population spike from the BSS/FSW hype, which a lot of players used as their “goal” of when to try NW out again, but since the same kind of bugs/exploits and core problems have remained an issue since they left originally, those players mostly have left again.

Those players and companies exist on fresh sturd aswell. If you feel like you’re behind maybe it’s because you started playing after everyone else or some just put in way more hours than you?

I’m not sure if there is much value discussing it with you then. You can say something is indisputable but it unfortunately doesn’t make it so. I’d explain the further nuances such as FSS desperately asking for merges because their servers are losing players, which servers were recently merged actually matters as they are pseudo FSS, etc. But probably won’t be too productive. The reality is the reality.
I would warn you to be cautious as an armchair lawyer. These things are complicated and your example also unfortunately is not applicable to this situation.

umm… amazon disabling trading post and player to player trading for weeks?? Did you forget?? what proof are you asking for exactly?? there are tons of pictures of players and companies with cap gold that is duped so if you’re intentionally turning a blind eye to that, sure… be my guest
We shouldn’t have merges. I don’t want the FSS bringing their duped items over to my wonderful legacy server.

If we have to absorb them, I guess. But they shouldn’t be allowed to bring anything over to our legacy servers.
Yesterday FSS had a total of 36k peak if you add up all the peaks on their 32 servers. This is drastically down from where it was a month ago on release of FSS. Meanwhile legacy had 32k on their 22 servers. So while legacy is holding its population, FSS is not. The only legacy servers that were merged were the ones added right before BS release that were always low pop. The big legacy servers are holding their population extremely well.

Agreed, Fresh start ( with the most recent dupe) is arguably more tainted now than legacy servers and bringing anything over would ruin our economy a lot of us have spent an extremely long time fleshing out and building up.
When fresh start gets merged with legacy they should have to leave all items behind and just bring over their toon, maybe with their crafting skills reduced to 1.
Amazon disabled TP on fresh start, does that mean ur duped items on FSS will still be there after Amazon has re-enabled TP? Does that mean that everyone on FSS will be goldcapped?
