Also merge the old servers ASAP. Player numbers are already declining hard and i dont like to see my server dying.
I understand you are hyped about the fresh servers and you are so happy that steam numbers grow and you make cash on sales but to me as an old veteran who invested 1 year playing on a legcay server this entire fresh server shit show isnt welcome.
Remember this MMORPG is only 1 year up and they are already bringing up fresh servers wich have the potentional to kill all achievements and effords you have put into the old servers by turning the old legacy servers into ghost towns.
Please don’t AGS. Give it time. The new car smell is still on the FSS. I bet a good chunk will return back their main servers. Especially the streamers. Once the event is done I am willing to bet most (if not all) will go back to their mains.
We don’t need to merge when in a month or less we start having queues again for those returning back to their mains.
Out of my view there is a serious possibility given that even veterans wont return to their old servers. Because the more time passes the more invested people will be on the fresh servers making new bounds, new friends, taking territories.
Why would they wanna return to their old servers wich are empty because everyone moved to fresh servers?
You see , so far the two responds in this thread are persons who are speculating that ppl will return to their old servers. Wich is a outcome but not a certain thing.
Im kinda worried that as i said before, legacy servers are turning into low populated servers and if they wait too long to merge them the situation isnt gonna get better even worse.
I have no idea why you feel bad about playing on your legacy server(s) while FF servers are being promoted. I have a character on an FS server and 2 on legacy servers, so why not do the same and enjoy the new leveling experience and revamped zones as a L1 start while still bouncing over to legacy for dailies/wars/oprs/arenas/and Ms?
Are any legacy servers not stale uncle bob situations anyway? Its a sandbox mmo…fresh start is a good idea, and shouldnt upset you. If legacy servers get smaller in population, they will just merge them like the last time they got smaller population… The they will feel full again…i recommend just trying the fresh start and you might be pleasantly surprised!
This is a good point oyu mention here. Are the old servers gonna become a thing to swap to once a day or once a week just to fight for territories or other main events? Cuz if thats the plan people have in mind for their old servers id call it pretty dead.
Ofcourse i have played on the fresh server and i see all the benefits and the fun and the joy and the new amazing quests but at the same time i also see a declining of population on the legacy servers and i see that there is a certain possibility that the old servers are just gonna turn into ghost towns and ye longer ye wait with the merge the worse it will get simple as that.
Sandbox mmos are just fields full of content locusts…it was inevitable that legacy servers would get stale and people would quit. Ags made the decision to attract new purchasers, bring back old quitters, and gave a third character slot to allow legacy players to make an alt and have some fun. Yesterday i saw level 60s already on day 2 of the fresh servers lol, it wont be long until theyre just like legacy servers, except hopefully without any duped economies, so a more fair environment is perpetuated
well i hope that the fresh servers wont cannibalize the old servers and drain too much from the old servers population so that in the end with the merges legacy servers will still have a healthy game experience.
cuz i actually want to play in an enviorement where ppl not only login for major events. Fresh servers are good no question but they can also mean the end for the old servers. ( maybe a little to pessimistic , lol but yeah )
yeah sure but for example i logged into my main server and saw a level 28 dude who is looking for players to do the starstone dungeon.
so he happens to be one of the unfortunate people who plays on the wrong server because he aint finding ppl to do the dungeon? this are direct issues caused for the old servers by the fresh servers. the fresh servers are killing the old servers. and the way the entiure game is designed on is by getting fresh players on the server.
the reason why i think its important to merge servers asap is because ppl tend to want to play on heavy populated servers. so imo they rather join an old server that has a queue of 100 ppl rather than an old server with a population of were we going in the next weeks <1000 people.
so this is why merge at the right time is important.
anyway i think im repeating myself too much and im finsihing my stated opinion with this message.
