I know that some changes are intended to actually be fixes.
However, there are certain elements of gameplay and style that are not fixes but fully intended as changes. In this post I am not arguing for or against any particular changes. There are plenty of posts by all of us making those arguments.
If I were to wish for something for this game for Xmas I would wish that only bugs be worked on now, not content.
The endgame according to players does lack content. Players have talked about other areas that seem unfinished or not fleshed out completely. These need to be dealt with as soon as humanly possible.
However, content is meaningless in a world that doesn’t work well.
Overall my limited experience of the game has been enjoyable. For situations like we are all currently in together I give the benefit of the doubt. This only lasts until I begin to realize I’m being credulous.
In the past week or so I have begun to see a consistent set of evidence that it’s not just the content that’s unfinished. The game itself has holes in it. There haven’t been gaping holes for me so far.
Instead it’s been a series of small things that just shouldn’t be there: a compass that doesn’t work all the time, ability bar buttons disappearing, losing chat channels when exiting dungeons, logging in to find yourself dead, etc,
These aren’t absolutely game breaking problems, but they show a consistency that is troubling.
