I laughed for like 2 minutes at that! I forgot that meme. It was from the impression people had of NW. Awesome at first, mid-level was subpar and endgame was like designed by pre-scholars lol
But I still have to disagree on that Alpha thing. Back then most people that looked at NW thought it was poop. Only when it changed from full loot, did people started getting interested.
Why would you need all of this information though? You can make your own conclusions based on the current roadmap. You’re asking for concrete details when the development process is always changing. No gaming studio gives hard release dates on roadmaps because they’re just that, a look into upcoming features that can and will change.
So the information about the PTR is not enough? PTR notes and testing is not part of the roadmap?

No, not asking for hard release dates. Just windows, or general progress updates! I mean, hard release dates would be wonderful, but right now we don’t know if Brimstone Sands will be September 23 or December 19th, so I was just wondering if they had a more approximate time.

Hmm? I feel like you didn’t read my post? Unless I didn’t see where Brimstone Sands was in the PTR, or the Great Sword, or the new expedition, the Ennead Expedition, leaderboard, anything else….hit me that update in the patch notes!
They will give you soon… A roadmap of the roadmap, perhaps a roadmap.

What I am saying is, it shows that the roadmap is progressing. You expecting specifics this far is absurd.
As I said before, I am happy they listen to in game feedback more than the forums.

You know, if I am honest, it feels like THIS is the beta.
We have at this point heard the stories of the alpha not going well so they had to re-tool everything.
Well they had betas (I think 2) after that then live.
Do I think it was how they planned things? Nope.
Do I think they are working hard to try and fix things? Yes.
It honestly made me hopeful for the games future, cause they have worked so hard to recover to this point.
They put out a roadmap already. Is it unreasonable to want an update on it?

I’ve said it before. We are Alpha testers. Considering the big changes and additions they made after launch, like expertise, gypsum, caches, arenas, dungeons–to an endgame with just OPR and 2 dungeons… yeah this game is pretty much being ‘completed’ now. Expansions aside.
I think they shoulda hold back the new Map. With the current state of the game, they are wasting resources on a new ‘expansion’ like content. Gotta fix current content or refine it until it’s awesome.

I was kind of hoping for some update on surveys or progress to try and increase player retention
I heard you can but the mode has changed somewhat. In the new mode there are balloons in the sky. Only bow and muskets can hit these balloons and when hit it instantly removes all enemy healing in the area for 10 seconds.
Yeah we are 2/3 through the existing Roadmap with the summer event coming soon.
Maybe a Roadmap update would be nice for the next dev Update Video in August @Luxendra
