Can we get better drops for killing players in open world pvp

Currently, you get 500-510 gear pieces for killing 625 players. Can we instead get 590+ GS PvP oriented pieces from players? Also, getting expertise bumps from player kills would be nice.

If you are worried about people trading kills perhaps adding OPR-like loot caches to the faction vendor would be a solution. These caches would cost faction tokens and/or salt.

Anything would be more favorable than the subpar, open world PvP we have nearly a year later. If they can tie good drops + expertise bumps in with a solid Fort rework, we might be in business. +1

I get the “win-trading” concern that was evident from the addition of the PvP reward track addition, but it really isn’t up to the players to set the boundaries and rules to prevent that. Up to AGS to make that system work and take those edge cases into consideration. Make it work well and people will be far more interested in that sort of content than the heaps of instanced stuff we have in game. The Open World PvE drop changes are having me spend a lot more time outside of a settlement this week than perhaps the last two months combined; just need to feed off that energy and give something good to the PvP folks who have been waiting for something decent to sink our teeth into that isn’t as gimmicky as Great Cleave.

AGS has been clear. They don’t want us open world pvping. 98 percent of the time you get 0 xp or drops from a player kill and when you do it’s like you said a 500 useless item. Every now and then I get 960 xp from a player. Most of the time it’s just a waste of time. On top of that AGS nerfed the pvp missions for grinding xp. Back before the nerf, open world pvp was popping and but they nerfed it into a ghost town.

They had alluded to adding HWM/Expertise drops to open world pvp, albeit that was back in 2021 with no follow up to speak of sadly. AGS no doubt has been neglecting or down right offered half-baked solutions to stimulate Open World PvP.

Flagged Luck was not too bad while Chest Runs were a big deal still, but those sitches really never made for lasting content apart from the few weeks after it was implemented. Great Cleave was sort of organic, but it only existed in so far as the PvP experience was good along with the prospects of cracking into the PvP reward track with little to no resistance.

Forts not getting locked for days on end (when instanced wars return) and fort flipping offering PvP track exp are good. Still is room for improvement by making these so-called “hot spots” worthwhile by cranking down the cap to 5 minutes, making the ownership reward FAR better (free camping LUL), while permitting fort-lock scenarios that could spur up every hour or so.

Not going to see me fight for a fort because of a territory influence push these days, but if there is worthwhile action happening every hour on the hour, I think myself and many others would be interested in participating. Can’t help but wonder when these ideas will finally trickle up to a Dev with some sense or sway, but something has got to give if NW is going to try selling this shoddy PvP system to returning or new players. Should be able to reliably find action in the open world rather than sit in settlements while waiting for OPR queue to pop.

in all my recent kill i have got 590 + gear (all of them trash obviously)
