Can we just remove town buffs from the game?

Its such a terrible design especially when the only buffs you can consistently get is hale and stalwart because all 12 towns want to run it. Then gotta play hide and go seek and move your house every time you want to craft. Its just bad please just remove or punish companies for not running buffs/ Stop all income to a town if they dont put up a buff after 12 hours of it being empty

Companies shouldn’t be punished for not running a buff, but I agree that the aspects of the town buffs need to be reworked. The original thought and design was a cool idea to be fair, but how it worked out ended up not being the greatest.

My main House that I have decorated etc hasn’t had a buff put up in like 3 weeks. Idk what to do, It’s my favorite zone, my favorite house but I get 0 buffs at all for weeks. I shouldn’t be forced to constantly sell my houses and move them around just to find the buffs I need. It’s a horrible game design.

Disagree, if you run the city you should care for it. If you dont, there are consequences.

Its not like town owning companies dont have 10k/week to activate a buff whenever possible.

Out of 12 cities in my server 5 have active buffs at most.

So yeah , we need a punishment for not activating lifestyle buffs. After all players that buy a house in that city still pay rent once a week.

Why should that money disappear into some companies pockets?

It’s not that simple as the town buffs are the reason why weapons that current well established players have the best gear. And removing them and simply having the equivalent of that buff a constant would mean that all weapons would hit a peek fairly quickly. This would not fit well with a lot of the current PvP population because greed, vanity, envy, and pride are all common human emotions. And when everyone is super, no one is.

Totally disagree. Crafting should not be gate kept by anyone let alone the Super Companies. Any player who logs in and wants to crafts should not be at anyone’s mercy to have access to content.

Sounds like you should take the territory from that company then.

I’ve always thought that the money should go to the faction members but the way that the game designed it’s just not feasible to do it that way. The lifestyle buffs should probably just always be open on town boards for people to complete and upkeep regardless of company influence imo. Our company has many buffs on many towns but not every single little one in every single town. I keep one house that I can just move if I need to. Usually if you ask companies to activate a buff they will though.

100% It’s one of biggest examples of Town Ownership having a negative affect on the average player. AGS needs to revamp things and stop leaving players at the mercy of Super Companies. I refuse to move my houses just to craft something. Bad enough I need to jump through other hoops like redoing trophies, donning the right gear, eating consumables. Let alone being stuck waiting for some RMT Fueled Super Company to throw up a town buff. I Really Truly have over time come to despise the Town Ownership System and being Gate Kept by sweaty war loggers! Players who thrive off OUR TAXES with the biggest companies turning that income into RMT RL money. It’s total BULL SHIET!

This is the WORST response and people like you are the reason why companies should be punished if they cant take 5 seconds out of their day to put up a buff.

“take the town if you want buffs”

MOVE ALONG PLEASE. Youre whats wrong about games. Oh you want to play the game? oh you want to crafT? to bad we arent gonna put up buffs till you take the town GET OUTTA here.

Because its super easy to get 50 people together sweaty enough to take a town which will takes months of getting an army good enough. to finally be able to craft yeah GREAT idea. if people want buffs they should take the towns OKAY

When a single player can get a city ill do that. I have no interest in kissing someones butt to be in wars.

I think the game was designed around PVP. They wanted you to be like ‘well I am going to join/create a company and go take that town so I can get my buffs!’

Like someone said else, it was a cool idea, but it didn’t work out and it should be reworked.
