Even during ECRs in Mal, no one fights Entropy. I always ask, and the group always rambles on. I can craft to 598, but the only pants I have seen on the server were listed for over 100k and even now those are gone. I get they should be tough to get, but can they shift to a new boss? That or improve the loot table so more than 598 weaponsmiths like me want to kill it.
The Weaponsmith set is unreal. I have all the other sets without even trying to get them. Had to buy my hat, and the pants are like a legend that a few have seen but most think are BS
I have had 2 pants drops and my mate had 3 in 24hrs. All i can tell you is to have no luck gear other than bags. Seems the more luck we had the less chance we got.
Malevolence wouldn’t be so bad if they removed the gauntlet of mobs before the boss spawn.
Even your experience makes no sense. Less of a stat that grants luck is the trick to get the item? Something is wrong with this scenario. I do hope it can be addressed.
Our only reasoning we can put to this phenomenon is that the pants are a blue quality item and too much luck puts you more into purple/leggo territory. Trying to help the best i can mate, happy hunting.
Agreed. It’s ridiculous. Aren’t weaponsmithing items the only set that does not have a tier 5 option? Apparently the armoring hat sucks to get. Don’t want to farm Leviathan of the Deep? No problem, there’s an easier option in Sirens. Getting WS pants is so stupid.
I can tell you that using luck or even being flagged ruins your chances in getting pants. My company mate got 3 using pvp gear and no luck. I haven’t gotten shit using luck gear so I’m starting to farm without it.
Would be nice for them to add these features. Maybe have an increased drop rate on the more difficult path, and a lower drop rate on the other. If items like this are so expensive, I’m really surprised there aren’t more “teams” farming items like this to sell. I’ve not done this content, so not sure of the difficulty, but I’ve seen this approach in many other games.
Could be the crafting item is unaffected by luck, like the trophys materials that drops from bosses, witch are unaffected by luck, someone would need to look at the code though to confirm it.
When gypsum patch hit all open world bosses got reduced drop’s to 1/3 less, so you need to kill them 3 times as much to get the same rewards.
Honestly with how convoluted luck is, maybe they should just make quests for trophy mats and gear. They have quests for fishing gear, why not have it be the same. Got 200 weapon smithing? Grind out your two legendary questlines for the gear and the trophy’s. Idk why it’s up to RNG to be able to craft gear that’s even worth a shit.
Keep loot luck to luck for BiS gear on monster drop.
