Can we please remove that 2 sec delay after Life/Fire staff attacks?

Im fine with it as long as they remove the que buffer, id rather have a no register situation than a delayed action situation.

yep i tried but its easier to proc Opal for Spikes or Storm, it allows for repositioning plus damage. (3%more damage is nothing)

yep the slow is in every magical weapon not only FS and LF and i would love it to be removed it. try it, its more clunky then bow.

I did try it for over 2 weeks and i didnt feel it was clunky at all. My only complaint was that void blade should be a toggle ability or it should stay after swapping weapons. But i never died and felt like the slow was the reason for my death

specially since spells like Ice Storm can not stack anymore and replace another’s ice Storm…

This shouldn’t be a thing for any weapon. And hitting dodge does not cancel it out every time. Combat controls is still super broken in this game. They have tried so hard to add these dumb delays to appease all the forum whining they have just made it horrible and clunky. They need to remove all these delays so when you hit a button it overrides whatever you were doing and goes to the next thing. And if that means I lose the pot/ability I was starting when I had to dodge or change to something else then fine.

they are using the que imput system to avoid some imput cancel trick, remember the FS LF machine gun?

Lol dude if you didnt get slowed then melees would practically be useless, i mean how do u catch up to a mage or bow that is running full speed and shooting at you? Also dodge isnt meant to cancel it, you just replace a part of the slow with a quick dodge. The slow still stays for like half a second after the dodge if you immediately dodge after using a basic attack.

If you focus on enemies that are getting attacked by others and not in a sacred then it isnt stat padding. Ice storms not stacking has been a thing for almost the entire time the game has been out, its not new

Well…it doesn’t.

Bow special attacks can be aimed on the same crosshair as their light/heavy attacks allowing for a faster damage burst chain.

Firestaff lights do less damage and their special attacks have to be aimed / timed separate from their lights. Fireball needs to be aimed upward to lob it further, it has a travel time and you are basically guessing when you lob it up. Pillar of fire has a short range, it will rarely be able to hit a dex user, and it needs to be aimed on the ground and has a wind up time. The difference in combo chains compared to bow is hilarious.

Dex users also get the stam bonus advantage from dex and get more speed bonuses in their tree so their recovery time / kite ability is heightened.

Also confirmed that taking one of the bow talents increases the hitbox dramatically making it even harder to miss.

You are missing the point, PVE and PVP have different mechanics and they a screwing up PVE making us stand there while NPC get free hits with 15k ability hits all because they can’t balance PVP.

PVPers should be just as annoyed. The solution to clunky PVP combat should not be we are just going to make some classes slower/delayed etc.

But since it’s PVPers screaming on the forum non stop they just keep over nerfing and over buffing not even catering how it affect PVE.

Yea this is what I’m saying. They have really goofed a lot of the mechanics in this game because they can’t keep people from exploiting their game. This goes for a lot of different stuff in the game.

How does any of this affect pve? Dont you have a tank that is meant to take agro? Whenever i do genesis muts i go in as a medium fs ig mage and i never complained about clunkiness but alright :joy:

You clearly don’t go in much if u think NPCs only attack tanks. Bosses have specific mechanics to pick other players and hit them with a huge ability attack. If you are stuck on an animation/delay then bye bye.

See even if you attack with a Firestaff and then dodge, you still have like 0,3s of that Walking animation afterwards. It’s clunky AF.

And to add onto @Monitor 's point. Nobody is saying Firestaff is weak or has no place in the Meta. Damage wise it’s all fair, it’s just that the magical weapons overall have a ton of clunk attached to them which hurts their fluidity during combat a lot.

A drastic reduction in the time you’re forced to walk after a basic attack down to like 0,5s or something similar would be a great start.
