Can you at least change the 300 STR perk from a useless 10% damage on heavy attacks?

Why make an obvious change everyone will hate and be useless to then having to swap it later? Especially when this obviously useless? Just give the 300 str perk 10% armor penetration, 10% damage on heavy attacks is freaking useless and very niche.

I wish Devs would explain why they nerf/buff stuff so we AT LEAST have an idea of their thought process, but this change and many others, feels like the devs just make changes without any thoughts behind them.

This is very true, the PERK of 300 str is too specific.

I agree with the change (remove the GRIT of 300 str) but I think that 10% damage from heavy attacks is nonsense.

300 INT perk coughs

Wana trade for 300int ?

PS. If i would be in that dev team i would troll hard:

“+10% auto attack dmg when you have active grit”

I think the damage is decent could be higher the issue is mainly how unusable heavy attacks are not really useable in pvp due to how slow they are and how bad the lunge is. They could stand to be a little faster or have better combos speaking of the great axe and war hammer the two only full strength weapons. Great axe heavies slow as hell for the damage they do. Both weapons need a tune up specially the great axe besides its one singular combo feels mediocre . The cooldowns are too long for decent dps

So Hatchet only?

You play 200str/300con hatchet?

You get grit during berzerk.

It works like a grit but im not sure its a grit. Same as ss defenders resolve is not fortify.

10% extra damage with heavy attacks is great, more damage is always nice. Helps in PVP and in PVE.

No STR weps use heavy attacks. Using a heavy attack on a STR wep, is rooting yourself for over 5 seconds including recovery time. Heavy attack is not the play.

Str weapons dont use heavy attacks much in pvp.

Hammer heavy attacks have grit built in, GS heavies have grit built in, I believe with the upcoming changes you will see more melee playing medium and heavy so more people will be using heavy attacks as people will not be getting out of melee range as much with a single roll. Also, you can still land a heavy attack on someone after a stun in most cases, not a charged heavy of course, but a normal heavy.

As for PVE, in dungeons str weapons will use heavies. Balance changes are not just for PVP, it affects PVE as well. Dungeons will be quicker with the new 300-str perk.

i think 10% heavy attack dmg is a decent enough perk.

obviously it’s not your primary choice, as heavy attacks are niche, but a good player that can utilize heavy attacks has now much more potential.

i wish 300 int was 10% heavy attack dmg

It does not count as grit for some reason. For example thwarting strikes doesn’t work with hatchet berserk

Hammer heavies are used often. Especially short heavies instead of fully charged. Also there is multiple GA perks dedicated to heavy attacking that are pretty good it’s just they don’t synergize well with maulers so no one takes them, they work great with bloodlust though
