Can you create worthy salvage from legendary items Plz

Since legendary items are fairly rare I think they should produce something worthwhile when salvaging them. Can we get a couple hundred gold or fifty shards from salvaging them? Something useful?

Other than gold and shards, what materials would you like to see from salvaging legendary items if any?

Different tiers of mats involved with the salvage, craft mods as chances associated with the perks, legendary resources potentially, past event patterns, etc…

I wouldn’t want crafting materials from salvaging legos, I don’t craft lol. I mainly PvP and run mutated dungeons. Although, I could always use more powerful honing stones, pristine gems, buffing consumables and coatings. For players that don’t craft much and tend to play solo, the struggle to afford these aforementioned items can become a struggle.

A tradable material of some kind, that allows crafters to re-roll a single perk on a 600 GS item.

Maybe make it a potential chance to receive it from a legendary that’s been salvaged. Nothing insanely rare, but not too common. Think something like 1/10 would be nice.

1/10 for normal legendaries, 1/5 for named legendaries.

Give us, “Tier 5 Parts,” that can be used to modify other legendaries.

AKA, a Legendary Material that can be used to Re-roll a perk on a piece of gear.

We can call this…

Remnants

You son of a bitch. I wrote my comment then read yours.

I would think something like 1 Remnant per item and 5 Remnants to re-roll a perk.

Oh! In just thought of something that would be kewl to see in game. An item that can change the attribute type of a legendary piece. I.e. from a strength to a focus piece, or what about an item that allows you to change legendary pieces from pickup to equip?

An option to unlock the item skin in lieu of reward would be stellar.

It will be great to get at least 1 shard perk back … for example, an 600gs Great Axe with Vicious/ Insatiable Gravity Well/Corrupted Bane … if you salvage that, you can get guaranteed “randomly” 1 perk shard back, with that you can keep crafting without spending extra gold.

  • Pristine Whetstone (Vicious)
  • Reinforced Orichalcum Great Axe Charm (Grav Well)
  • Shard of Baetylus (corrupted Bane)

Can’t wait to start salvaging

simple let us reroll one fricking perk for mats D:

or even let us change attribute of the item such as the faction armor tokens can do with faction armor!

As others have said, something which allows us to re-roll a perk on an existing legendary or crafting modifiers based on the item itself.

I think an internally consistent way of adding value to salvaging of all items is to have the salvage of dropped items work similarly as the salvaging of crafted items. Depending on the tier of the item and the primary type of material used to craft that weight armor or weapon type, you salvage 1-4 units of crafting materials.

Common = Linen, Coarse Leather, Iron Ingots, Lumber
Uncommon = Sateen, Rugged Leather, Steel Ingots, Timber
Rare = Silk, Layered Leather, Starmetal Ingots, Wyrdwood Planks
Epic = Infused Silk, Infused Leather, Orichalcum Ingots, Ironwood Planks
Legendary = Phoenixweave, Runic Leather, Asmodeum, Glittering Ebony

Lots of great discussion and feedback here, it definitely seems like there is a surplus of legendary weapons that need to be salvaged for good rewards here as well.

Greysmoke, I can definitely see how something like better honing stones could definitely be fair. I find the trade material suggestions here good as well  . Lots of great discussion going on!

Gold, Shards, Gems, or new items to change attributes or perks, would be new and exciting stuff. Honing stones would be GREAT, as someone who plays a lot of OPR and PvP I burn through a lot of honing stones and gems, it gets expensive quick! Plz don’t make it produce ONLY crafting items, a good few of us DON’T craft. Thanks for considering things!!!

What if it didnt matter if you crafted or not.

make it 10 legos to make 1 legendary alteration kit.

make it bop and not work on named items.

have it function like the faction shop alteration item where you dont need to be 200 whatever.

even if it was to change just the attribute it would be down. i have soo many useful pieces that are dumpster fodder because it has dex focus.

I’ve got a ton of strength Intel fodder, would be neat to salvage some attribute changing gems

What if you could salvage heavy to light, or light to heavy etc., gems ???

it would also take pressure off of the con mod prices too.

although its going to drop once the mod converters are live.

there will be less risk of using something generic + a attribute you want to be using instead of forcing it with con and limiting your options.

also i dont think honing stones is the right call.

it makes zero sense that armor or a weapon randomly dropped something like that.
