Not a bug read developer posts they announced they were disabling them.

Investigating Smelting Crate Issue

We are currently investigating reports that Tier 3 Smelt Creates are not granting items. We are turning off crates until we fully understand the issue, you will be able to continue earning crates but you will not be able to open them. If anyone lost a smelting reward as a result of this issue we will make sure that is corrected. Thank you for your patience, we will provide updated information as it becomes available.

they didnt seem to specific they are only locking t3. so they probably turned of all smelting ones. though did they also lock other aptitude chests?

I’m not even sure that it’s actually a bug, people had been getting smelting gear before they made them unopenable. The chance to get a piece was too small I guess?

some people were opening it and getting nothing. literally nothing which is not an issue with the % drop i think.

id be pretttttttty pissed.

(also reminds me that some supply crates also drop me nothing on occasion)

Just wonder if we will get something back or all the crates that i saved for the past month and opened today are basically “lost”. I well know that we will get no compesantion but a man can dream right?

i had like almost 40+ t3 and got zero smelting gear from it sad that i had to open it early was so excited, but now my tier2 crates wont open? did they disable it?
