Can't cast fishing rod

• What server/world did you experience your issue on: Neritum

• Describe the issue you are experiencing: My character is pulling the fishing rod back as though to cast it but he is not releasing it nor is the distance bar appearing. It’s just stuck in this pose

• Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug

• (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I can’t fish. It’s my favorite thing to do in this game.

• (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Not so far

• What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Not sure. I have been switching between mouse and keyboard, steamlink, and nintendo switch pro controller to fish however I don’t know if that’s related. Tried logging off and on, restarting the game, restarting computer, repairing fishing rod, unequipping and equipping fishing rod, changing bait, and rebinding the fishing key. None of that has helped. I haven’t tried using a different rod as I don’t have one on my atm.

Switching to a different fishing rod seems to have worked. The original fishing rod seems to work fine as well now.

Now I’m questioning whether or not it was fast travelling to a different area that fixed it. I traveled to Everfall and switched rods and it worked. I went back to the secret freshwater fishing spot in Weaver’s Fen by the waterfall and it didn’t work again. Switching rods didn’t work either. Only when I switched which side of the hotspot was I on, did it work again.

The fishing bugs are very confusing. There is no fix in sight and people just dont fish cause its broken for them. I even upgraded to 32GB RAM and it did not fix the fishing bugs.
