Can't change faction

  • What is your character name in New World: Speculiar
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: US East - Amarah
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Unable to change faction. The final NPC to complete the last step in the change process will not let me complete it because the tooltip when hovering over the greyed out “Join Faction” button (See picture #1) says that it will not proceed because that faction controls the most territories. Currently all factions own 4 territories. (See picture #2) I’ve tried abandoning the quest and picking it up again to the same result.
  • Is this a bug? I don’t know how it would be classified because I don’t know if it’s working as intended or not.
  • (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: I can’t join my friends in their faction/company.
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No. I am still having the same issue.

This is normal. you will have to wait until someone loses a territory. Since all factions are considered as “controlling the most territories” atm.
