Can't close corrupted portals lvl 65 with azoth staff lvl 5

It is not just 65 portals, there’s bugged 55 portals as well. Example: NE region of Mourningdale our portal crew cleared and got nothing with the T4 staff. Went back with T5 staff same thing it’s almost as if the game does not realize you actually have the staff above T3. Since both the T3 and T4 Staff are still in my inventory
