The game is now not loading/booting. Since launch, booting the game could take tens of seconds to launch and periodically the game would freeze on the initial “New World” screen (before seizure warning screen) while launching in which I would stop/end the program and reopen via Steam.
Suddenly on 3/7, it’s been close to impossible to get the game to launch. I had played a bit of Lost Ark, exited that game and tried to open New World. Every single time the launch would freeze on the initial “New World” screen. I timed one attempt at a full 5 min of sitting at that screen before stop/exit and attempting to relaunch. After 45 minutes I gave up and went to bed.
Yesterday, 3/9 I sat down to try to resolve the issue. I verified the integrity of my game files through Steam. I made sure my drivers were up to date. I double checked all my other drivers. I closed out all other programs. I updated my computer and rebooted several times. After over an hour of working through all help FAQ, it finally launched. I played for a bit and then got off and went to bed.
Tonight, it started all over again where I could not launch the game. Again I checked all the drivers, I closed out other programs, I rebooted several times. After 45 min of it failing to launch, one random try it was successful and I am now in game.
I need to know what is causing this and how to fix it as spending 45+ minutes trying to get the game to just launch is completely unacceptable. It’s frustrating, I’m missing in-game events like territory pushes and invasions, and it’s leading to entire days I’m not able to play. This issue feels like it came on suddenly and randomly.
