Cc immunity on riposte got to go

All they have to do it make it so that the player that triggered the riposte is the only one that can’t CC the player with the rapier. If you are surrounded in a clump and you hit a riposte you should not be able to easily escape without taking heavy damage

as vengeance said a lot of these are from last patch when it was geat now it just eh. also several clips where still assisted.

Are you sure? The video is 11 days old. I do agree GW is kinda meh now but that doesnt make the weapon trash like you guys are trying to say it is.

That’s a single hit of Grav Well on one player. I left the time stamp in the screesnshot. The 4079 crit is a heavy attack that he landed before the GW explosion. So you can see the GW hit for 1702, 1702 and 2804. It won’t do that anymore. And honestly it’s so easy to get our of GW now, and you can iframe in it, that he probably wouldn’t have been able to hit that heavy attack, either.

GA is fine- it has it’s purposes. But for 1v1 or 3v3, it’s D-Tier. As a medium/heavy bruiser for most of the 2000 hours I’ve played in-game, I feel confident saying that. It’s mandatory for Wars, because it can do big damage in clumps, but it’s not going to kill most players by itself.

Yeah just like bow is mostly a stat padder 1v1 weapon (this is just one example.) Not every weapon does it all. I would love for bow to be valuable to large group stuff but it isnt because it doesnt offer any utility and barely any significant damage. A mage is way more valuable to wars then a bow. A mage is way more valuable to even OPR if people actually play to win then bow is.

Its just the way the game is man. Not one weapon can do it all. If you want to do it all then you need to be flexible in builds and not just rely on GA/WH (which I still think is just fine in just about any content except for maybe duels). Its one of the most well rounded combos out there.

Ok cool. I have old eyes and cant follow all the quick damage numbers. As I posted above there really arent any weapons that are good at everything. GA/WH are probably the most well rounded combos for just about everything though.

i guess, the old build i ran was shit for large scale(reap/charge/grav) but was useable for small scale. then they nerfed grav well and make it not proc when other weapons were out. it basically destroyed that play style as it didn’t have enough lock down. now there is just (reap or charge/mealstrom/grav) and with the change it made it rely on being with a team.

I guess mages are the class that can do it call FS/IG can do wars to 1v1

yeah I thought that change was BS myself honestly.

and actually I agree on the mage. Mage is super good but all mages complain.

Honestly, I had to slow it down to prove it to myself. It’s just that I’ve been playing with GA so long that I know Grav Well + Heavy does NOT one-shot people, but he was doing it consistently, so there had to be something off. So first thing to check was the triple-proc Grav Well. Looks like some people in his comments section noted it as well.

just remove this wep from the game bro. this is a game that gives you iframes, and a weapon that gives you an evade skill, a deflect + invul skill + a skill that lets you GO THROUGH PEOPLE!!!

Riposte is balanced, it can stay as it is.

Well Riposte should be 180 deg, not 360. Rapier users should not have eyes in the ass and be hit from the back.

Riposte is currently the most broken skill in the game and that includes the infinite scream bug going around now too lol

Yeah just remove the stamina recovery during the riposte seems pretty clean. It doesnt make sense to me that stamina recovers while using a skill

Remove the iFrames after riposte triggers and I’ll be happy

There’s a bug for entomb also having unintended iFrames when exiting entomb, riposte has the same issue

In the current PTR a plethora of weapon perks were buffed - yes, Fire Staff among them.

I agree with the previous posts. Fire Staff is still the worst.

Just compare it to Bow:
pathetic range, mana reliant, less DPS, no mobility, huge delay for Light attacks, 1-2 useful abilities (others interruptable or clumsy).
Doesn’t get as good perks like DEX at 150.

There’s a reason why everyone picks Bow over FS for range.

Rapier just has too much in the toolkit for survivability. I think the one that I hate most as a bruiser is Fleche. Because we can have him surrounded, pinned against a wall, and he just fleches right through us. Charge on GA however is interrupted by a pebble on the ground, or someone on your squad farting in your general direction. I feel almost the same about Burnout, except that can at least be interrupted.

Riposte is also a little overtuned. 360 degree immunity is too much. 180 degree max, and realistically should be like a 120 degree cone. Should take damage if hit from behind. Stun should only be on the person who hits, and there needs to be some animation so that you can’t trigger it after someone starts a Shockwave but before it hits. I can maybe be talked out of that part- I just don’t like finally catching a gd rapier and starting Shockwave, only to have him Riposte and I take the stun. At least let me cancel out of it if he’s going to be able to bail himself out like that.

The extra iframes and the stamina regeneration through all of those skills is just too much when you tack on everything else. There just needs to be counterplay. If I catch a rapier player and he exhausts his stamina, he can Riposte and Fleche and be almost at full stamina by the time his
skills are done, and he still has Evade, or whatever his third skill is. He’s also created distance even if I avoided his Riposte. And now I have to catch him all over again.

you can kite even the best pvpers in this game with a rapier for a long while. can we stop pretending rapier has some sort of high skill cap
