I completely understand what you say, playing with friends is always the best. Currently there is no way for you to join back in Barri, you can keep an eye out here for any news if that may change in the future:
Barri always has been locked as far as I know of… 142 days aparently offline.
The times i tried logging in there was always a queue… so how would i be able to log on when i am in a queue
When you press “Select World” it brings up the server list and the number of characters existing on each server. If you pull it up you should have a character on Nysa and potentially one on Barri.
Yes, even if the server becomes unlocked you still may not be able to transfer.
The best is to wait until the server unlocks and then file a ticket with support if that issue occurs. Or just select another world. But yeah, nothing you can really do I guess.
@Mogrot While I understand your feelings unfortunately if your character has been unbound for the original server you must select a new one that is not currently locked for character creation, you can always reach out to our support department if that is something you wish to do, @Mogrot use this link and let me know if it doesn’t work for you:
Thanks @Jormungandrh , that link seems to work.
I will try that way.
Unfortunately i do not want to play New World if I am not able to play with my max level char on Barri with my friends. The setback would be too big and iI would only be frustrated. I have 1343 hours invested in this toon, with the exception of a low level character on another server where i was gonna start to stream with on Twitch.
I had the same plan for my return on my max level character, but then this happened… it’s just another stick in my sheels i guess…
Just an update after contacting the support.
There is no way for me to play on Barri with my friends.
Barri has always been locked.
The times that i was in a 2k+ queue made me look at other games.
Seems i was inactive for too long.
Not that i really can help the fact i don’t have enough time to sit out a queue that is too long.
So the solution is to just not return to New World i presume.
What good is a video game if you are not allowed to play with your IRL friends.
So yeah, unless there is a way to play on the server I always have been playing on, that is already locked for a looong time… I guess uninstall is the solution for this matter.
My friends will not start again on another server because they have every skill leveled up to max and they have the gear. I also have invested some time in my professions and gear that i have. They also want to stay on Barri because of the community there, wich is a good one.
I was also ggoing to start streaming New World on Twitch again, but I suppose that plan is gonna be a no go, since i can’t even play with the people i want…
Thanks for the replies , but i do not understand why a character would be unbound from a server for 1. Imagine a game like World of Warcraft would do that… hmmm… And 2nd, in what world does a gaming company impriont a system that never allows you to play with your friends in a case like this?
The right answer should be: " yes, we have reinstated your character back on Barri. Thank you for reaching out to Amazon! Have a great time with our new content in New World! Good luck out there!"
But instead i get the answer:
Me [22:03:07] : I am sure there is something you can do to make it possible to let me play with my friends on Barri again
Mark [22:03:08] : I’m sorry for the trouble, from player to player
Mark [22:03:29] : No, there’s nothing to completely honest.
Mark [22:03:51] : With all due respect, please let me know if besides this, there’s something I can do for you today
Me [22:03:59] : yes
Me [22:04:21] : i want to play on Barri with my friends with my max level character that always has been on Barri
Me [22:04:45] : login queues made it impossible to log on
Me [22:04:57] : so i had no way to prevent the 180 days
Mark [22:05:06] : I think I was clear enough with my statement. This being said, have an amazing weekend ahead
Me [22:05:07] : basically that is not my fault
Mark has left the conversation.
Sorry, It feels rude to me that as a gaming company you do not support the fact of people playing your game together, especially after the time they have been investing on your game already.
Yeah, I think Amazon is doing wrong by you if they forced you off the server you last played on and are not allowing you back onto that server to play with your friends. This is not ok in my book… yes it’s technically up to them because I’m sure their TOS covers it, but it’s still bad business practice.
I imagine the perspective is that they can’t make exceptions for one player because it would only lead to more people asking for exceptions, but I kinda disagree with that logic. I think on a case by case basis they should take something like this into consideration and put you back on the server.
