What server/world did you experience your issue on: Cantahar (happens on any server)
Describe the issue you are experiencing: Character stuck heavy attacking.
Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
(if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Cant play at all. Can only access the Esc menu.
(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No, it’s still happening after unplugging my keyboard and mouse, restarting the game, restarting my computer, creating a new character, verifying game files on steam, and reinstalling the game.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I don’t know, it happens automatically upon logging in.

Currently also having the same issue, don’t suppose you found a fix yet? Very frustrating bug to encounter and it seems it’s not very common place.
I’m having the same issues that make me unable to play New World: When the character has a chance to make a charged attack, he does. Either with a melee weapon ANYTIME or with a bow while aiming. This bug is making it impossible to play the game, I can only switch weapons by breaking the animation using a skill and quickly switching to a bow.

I did find a fix. I had a controller plugged in. After unplugging it, the problem stopped.
Unfortunately I don’t have a controller to test 
I tried connecting other hardware but it didn’t work. #amazon send me a controller. Better to leave this forum open and not as resolved, I think this is not really a solution to the bug, new world has to see that this problem exists so it doesn’t happen with anyone else
