The character continually is running. Once in a while he will stop, but starts running again.
I have replaced both the keyboard and mouse and the problem persists. This is unplayable.
I have tried attacking, going prone, jumping and pressing most every key on my keyboard.
Is this my computer or the game?

There is a autorun option on the game so you might want to check that one out on the settings of the game.
Thanks, but I use the auto-run (=) all the time. It has no effect.
Actually, today, I am in a running motion but moving at walking speed.
Also, WASD does nothing while in this non-stop running mode. I can steer using the mouse but that is it. 
Ahaa!!! I just noticed that my Xbox controller was on. I pulled the USB cord out of my machine and this fixed (let’s hope permanently) the auto run issue.
