Yeah I agree and the system with hairstyles and faces are in game already, so cant take so much work to inplant it into the game.

i hope we get it soon indeed.
although I’d prefer if it was an in game npc like a barber
but iprefer to have it on the store than nowhere.
also Ive seen some NPCs with faces we don’t have access to, hopefully we’ll have access to those too.

Yeah i been dying for this feature , i want to remove my beard and pony tail because some helmets look awful with a huge beard lol AGS ADD APPEARANCE CHANGE

In this engine, maybe a decade.
Character Appearance change should always be a thing.

the appearance choices must be stored in the database for each character. it would be trivial to overwrite those choices.
every character is the same height, same hit box. there are no quests or armor that are specific to appearance choices.
then they could put premium appearances in the store and as achievement awards. win win.

I think they are waiting to update the entire character customization system cause its really barebones and lack many options and varieties.
My bet is once they revamp it, they will give everyone a free customization token like they did with transfers.

I’m all for allowing character appearance change as long as you can’t change your characters race/skin tone. Allowing that would be equivocal to white washing, racism, genocide.
I agree with this and also rename tokens in the store as I am sure there is more than one person who is regretting that name they thought was funny at the time.
There does need to be some more quality of life work to be done.
I’m all for renaming as long as their original name becomes their surname so they can’t wipe out their reputation. Otherwise you could scam people then just transfer servers and buy a name change.

Yeah theres a lot of people who rushed creating characters on day one because the servers were on Que. now we are stuck with whatever hairstyle we have, and our names. Please AGS reply and let us know about any future appearance change token or barber

just add a “previously known as” besides their name for 30 days
RuneScape has had this for years and it works fine

I would love the option of an appearance change token. I’m willing to pay, to change my characters look. Please hear us Devs!!! So many of us across the board are asking for this.

Bump because i’ve already made like 3 threads on this, it has been noticed by the forum mods but I guess dev’s dont see it as any kind of priority!
Hopefully I eat my own words when it comes out with Brimstone
