My question is pretty simple: I’d like to make a macro which could help me logging trees better by pressing an additional key (SPACE) after the first chop.
Such macro would be played only when my LMB is clicked and for every interaction.
Actually this replicates exactly what I actually do with my own hands and the macro would be played in such exactly way and timings (what I get out of it is just the ability to avoid to keep pressing 2 keys but 1)
I guess the scope of the macro is pretty clear so I will not discuss it further.
The software I’d use for doing so is the Logitech one which has a tool inside for creating macros and bind them to the mouse.
So, is it allowed? If I get banned by it, will I be able to contest it?
Well, how do I actually check if it is or not “a form of advantage over other players”?
I cannot really be sure of the macro I have described before.
I mean, maybe the fact that I stress my middle finger for pressing the SPACE key could be in some way an advantage over other players who will not do it.
This could seem like a dumb sentence but the advantage as a definition is pretty borderline.
Moreover, If I get to be banned due to the use of such macro with a good-will intention, how the whole thing would be dealt by the team who actually manage ban contests?
I mean, will linking them this whole conversation help me out if I get to be banned due to the anti-cheat software detecting or reporting this whole thing?
I’m a really honest guy who plays fair and wanna continue like that. That’s why I’m asking ya this.
Is hard for me or any moderator to tell you what kind of macros are allowed because at the end that’s dev decisions. Is on your own criteria that you need check if that can give you any advantage.

I already knew I could appeal a ban since I did that some times ago when I got 1 day banned for offensive chat without having ever typed compromised things (blasphemies, profanity and so on).
The reply I got was “no further informations will be given, accept your punishment” or something like that.
But that’s not the point of this topic
Is there a way I could reach out the Dev Team in order to have an official statement about this? I wanna be really sure I will not be banned for such macro or at least I’d win an appeal if needed.

The answer I received is the same as in the other thread, Logitech software is not an invasive software and will not going to interfere with the game. But as I mention you before, at the end you need to use your own criteria to know if that could give you or not any advantage.
