Am I the only one who thinks the game is favorited towards the melee class? Mainly the fact that strength class has many arguably BiS drops. smooth bone ring, fury, dooms chance, woodswarden, and probably a few others. not to mention that you are just chain cc’d by hammers everywhere, and if its not that its grav wells being thrown out left right and center (and you’re buffing grav well).
Then you look at mage or healer what do you have? yes Will of the ancients, not much in terms of similarity for mages. firevine? thats just weapons. what about mage/healer jewelry drops? both classes are forced to HOPE to craft a piece with 3 wanted perks let alone 2. How is that fair and balanced? to also talk about mages where was this buff that you talked about it your dec “Dev update” where you talked about “we may have nerfed the ice gauntlet a bit to far”.
It feels like if you’re not playing a melee class you’re just doing it wrong by the way they made drops. Am i the only one who thinks this?
No you are not the only one. Every mage knows this.
Worst of all, the one good mage ring there is, forgers signet, gets deleted and you get at it back as a 600 purple, so no chance to make it legendary. And even that one ring is a f-ing joke compared to smooth bone ring - and if for some reason you think smooth bone isn’t bis, you can still easily farm beginning from the sirens alligators.
Like the only thing missing for strength players right now is an amulett, and then you see stuff like this in the data - a perfect bis amulett for strength:
ummm yes. there is a heavy favortism. but… its also because of data sheets…
which leads to weird things like GA getting buffs, and … orb. orb on the void gauntlet getting nerfed by 40%… o.o
I’ve never died to orb. maelstrom+gravity well… every single match or war ive ever been in. but one gets a buff, one gets a nerf.
You can see the disparity in damage and critical multipliers. you can see it in typical armor classes and mitigation. and you can see it in skill damage/utility. Armor perks.
etc…
You can also see it in food. Mage food…40 int. take a legendary fish. a legendary fish- that can only be caught in 1 zone in the game. from the most botted fishing spots in the game.
… its obvious to anyone that doesn’t see the enquirer as a fact based publication
im still here waiting for the change they talked about to the ice gauntlet back in December. but a grav well buff can happen instantly.
actually sad to see how they lean towards that over any other class. a heavy melee hits just as hard as a glass canon mage. makes sense though hearing how the 2 devs were main melee players. how about they get a mage on the updates to see what they have positive to say
